Is there hope for a man who is a habitual drunkard, adultier, liar, and neglects his family?

I had the joy to preach in Africa Friday online with our partners Pioneer Evangelism and Living Waters Jesus Film teams. There were 923 attended and 124 prayed to receive Christ. Below is the story of one below:

I was so much involved in drunkenness and there was nothing I could think about God and my future.

Also, adultery was another problem I had, I could even leave my wife at home and go to the bar and spend a night with a pr******te.

I could lie and at times I don’t do the responsibilities at my home. It caused me to have no peace in my home and also in my life.

However, when God’s servants presented the film of Jesus, I watched the suffering, crucifixion and the death of Jesus.

Also, the preacher spoke about the origin of sin that prompted Jesus to come. He said, this world was created perfect and God gave Adam a free will, he gave him permission to eat all what was in the garden, except the tree of knowledge of good and evil to test his free will.

Then Adam made a wrong choice to eat that forbidden fruit and he sinned against God. Then, he was corrupted and that affected the seed of Adam that God expected to populate the earth and all of us sinned.

The glory of God departed from him, sin, sickness, and death came and Satan strayed people.

As a result, there was separation with God, but because of God’s love for us, he sent the second Adam that is Jesus, to fix our brokenness because he is our creator.

Then he illustrated with a simple clock he had, that his eyes have not seen the maker of the clock but the clock is the evidence that there is someone who made it. And when it is broken the maker can fix it.

So, in the same way God sent Jesus to fix our brokenness, all the sins we committed, he paid for, in his death on the cross. He also resurrected after three days with great power over death, Satan, sin and sickness.

Therefore, make him the Lord and the savior of your life, he will fix your brokenness. Trust him with your life he will forgive your sins and give you eternal life, he loves you.

I realized my sins, my brokenness in my life and even in my family, because I had no peace with my wife, then I decided to surrender my life to Jesus to fix me. .

After, he made an alter call for those who want to surrender their lives to Jesus to lead them in prayer of repentance, to put up their hands

I also was one of them and he led us. Now I am fixed by God I am saved, and I am happy and I joined the good news group.
Thank you.

Thank you for praying for our April Crusade. We received the report that 19,221 prayed to receive Christ.

Please pray our Leaders Conference with Dr Greg and I as we teach foundational Bible Doctrine to many of the new believers from past crusades.

My teaching notes are below:

Biblical Terms of Salvation: Teaching Pastor Truman Herring

Introduction: Jesus came, to seek and to save that which is lost. Luke 19:10
Why did Jesus come to save us?
What does it mean to be saved?
Fall of all through Adam and salvation provided for all in Jesus the Last Adam
Saved from: sin, condemnation, hell, Satan

Atonement: God’s blood covering of our sins by the substitution and sacrifice of His Son the Lord Jesus on the Cross.
Because God is Holy, Just, and Righteous, the penalty of sin is death. Romans 6:23
Because God is Love, Merciful, and Gracious, God sent His Son to die in our place thus satisfying His Justice and providing Mercy to sinners through faith. Romans 3:23-25
From the beginning with Adam, all blood sacrifices pointed to the final once and for all sacrifice of the Lord Jesus. Hebrews 9:22,26, 10:12,14
Consider the Day of Atonement and the Mercy Seat and the Vail torn into at Christ death.

Redemption: The price paid through Christ blood for our salvation.
Consider a slave’s freedom being paid at a price. 1 Peter 1:18-19 declares we were redeemed with the precious blood of Christ as a spotless Lamb.
Delivered from power of darkness to God’s Kingdom. 1:13-14
Redemption is foundation for forgiveness. Eph. 1:7
Like a legal transaction with God’s character to be both Just and Justifier of the sinner.
Kinsman Redeemer: Through Virgin Birth, Jesus our Kinsman Redeemer bought us back and restores us.

Reconciliation: God restoring the broken relationship between the sinner and God
While we were enemies by sin, Christ died for our sin to establish peace with God through the death of Christ in our place. Romans 5:10
It gives to us a perfect standing with God through Jesus Christ. 1:22
We are restored with a new heart that loves the Father and we are given a ministry of reconciliation of other sinners to come home to the Heavenly Father. 2 Cor. 5:17-21
We like the Prodigal come home to the Father through repentance and faith. Luke 15:11-32

Justification: God declaring sinners righteous through faith in Christ without works.
Justified by faith not by works. Romans 3:28; Gal. 2:16
Justified by faith brings peace with God. Romans 5:1
Justified freely by God’s grace alone through redemption in Christ. Rom. 3:24
Justified provides eternal standing in Christ and forever security. Rom. 5:9
We must cease from working for Justification to be Justified by God. Rom. 4:5

Regeneration: At the moment of trusting the Lord Jesus we are Born Again by the working of the Holy Spirit whereby we become a new creation In Christ with a new spirit. John 3:3-7; 2 Cor. 5:17; Titus 3:5
God uses the incorruptible seed of the Word of God to gives us the faith to believe and be born again. 1 Peter 1:23
By our first birth in the flesh, we inherited the sin nature of Adam; and by our Second Birth in the Spirit we inherited our New Nature in Christ. John 3:3-7
God uses the Word of God to first give us faith and it is then through believing that we receive Life through His name. John 20:31; Romans 10:17: John 1:12
We are not born again to believe but are born again because we first believed and then were saved and justified by faith alone.

Imputed Righteous: At the moment of saving faith, God credits to the account of the sinner the Perfect Righteousness of Jesus Christ without any merit or righteousness of his own. Jesus took our sin and gave us His righteousness. 2 Cor. 5:21
God’s only standard of Righteousness is perfection. No one goes to God’s Perfect Heaven without being perfect. Yet, no person is righteous. Romans 3:10
By the obedience of Jesus Christ, Righteousness is given to us as a free gift. Rom. 5:17-19
Religious people try to establish their own righteousness and are rejected by God. Romans 10:3-4; Phil 3:19
Abraham and David were imputed righteous by faith alone. Romans 4:3-6

Adoption: God grants to the new believer full rights and intimacy in the family of God.
No longer a slave but a son and an heir of God through Christ. Gal. 4:4-7
His Spirit within us cries, Abba, Father… Romans 8: 15-17; Gal 4:6
Having the first fruits of the Holy Spirit within us we are assured of a complete salvation, and we await also the future adoption of the redemption of our body to be perfect without sin in heaven. Romans 8:23

Conclusion: God’s salvation is free, final, finished for all who trust in the Lord Jesus.

We should see God’s Complete Salvation in Three tenses:
Past tense: We have been saved from the penalty of sin by the death Christ.
Present tense: We are being saved from the power of sin by the Life of Christ in us.
Future tense: We will be saved from the presence of sin by the Second Coming of Christ.

We are not saved by our good works, but by faith alone in the Finished Work of Christ in our behalf. But all who have been saved are saved unto good works that follow the believer and give evidence of that they are truly saved by the grace of God. Eph. 2:8-9 See less
