From the Pastors heart:

Good morning, friends and Church family. Our devotion today comes from James 4:10.

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” In a world that often rewards pride and self promotion, this verse calls us to a different posture, one of quiet surrender.

Humility is not thinking less of ourselves, but placing ourselves rightly before God, acknowledging our need for His grace.

When we choose humility, we open space for God to work in us and through us. The promise is clear: God Himself will lift us up in His time and in His way.

Today, release the need to strive for recognition, and instead rest in the assurance that God sees, knows, and honors a humble heart.

Your pastor loves you and I pray that I will see you at church on Sunday. God bless.

From the Pastors heart:

Good morning friends and Church family. Our devotion this morning comes from John 8:31-32.

“If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

God desires the best for each of His children, but sometimes we become trapped in habits, thoughts, and emotions that keep us from experiencing His best.

Continuing in the word means consistently engaging with scripture and applying it to daily life. As we do, we’ll discover profound benefits that our ours in Christ like His provision, promises, and his protection.

Freedom begins with honesty. Recognize any patterns or sins that are holding you back, and then ground yourself and the truth of scripture. Claim God‘s promises by faith because He’s always ready to help the moment you turn to Him.

If we continue in God’s word, the truth will set us free. Your pastor loves you and I pray you have a wonderful Thursday. God is good!

From the Pastors heart:

Good morning friends and Church family. Our devotion today comes from Psalm 46:1

“ God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”

What causes you to feel discouraged? Sometimes the reason is easy to identify, but other times there are subtle, less obvious factors. Things that can contribute to discouragement include:

An area of weakness. Some sins seem to have a stronghold in our life, and no matter how hard we try to overcome them, we still struggle. If the temptation begins to feel inescapable, we can become disheartened.

An unanswered prayer. When the answer to a prayer is no, or not now, we can lose hope, especially if we’ve prayed a long time.

Prayerlessness. Failing to understand, God‘s sovereignty and timing can lead to discouragement. However, cutting off communication with him will lead only to deeper despair. Consistent prayer keeps us connected to our source of hope.

The next time you feel discouraged, pray Psalm 46:1 to the Lord, asking him to fill you with his peace and joy. Your pastor loves you and I pray you have a wonderful Wednesday. God bless.
