Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church - Zion City We exist for the purpose of making disciples who grow, serve and care.

We are a family of faith, a fellowship of grace, a people of compassion, a community of service and a body of worshippers. Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church-Zion City is one of the oldest Black Baptist churches in the Birmingham area. Its original members were former slaves, who following the Emancipation Proclamation of 1869, were allowed by their former owners to leave Ruhama Baptist Church to form their own fellowship.
