Rocky Mountain District Friends:

It was such a WONDERFUL July connecting with our teens and young adults! From NYC (in Salt Lake City & San Diego) as the month began, to Young Adult Retreat (near Bozeman) in the middle of the month, to SuperCamp (near Roundup) as the month concluded, God is moving in our young people! I told my church yesterday morning that we do not need to be fearful for the future. We do not need to be worried about the next generations. Gen Z and Gen Alpha may at times seem a little strange to some of us who are a bit older (6-7!), but I have seen the Holy Spirit work in and through our teens, and I can assure you that God is doing great things!

I will be sending Response Card details to local church pastors later this week, but I want to share with everyone here some raw data that I have compiled. Following both NYC and Camp, we asked participants to complete digital Response Cards. Here are some of the results:

Nazarene Youth Conference—Our district took 39 high school students, and 28 submitted Response Cards. Here are the results of the four primary questions:

1. This week, I committed my life to Christ for the first time. 1 student.

2. This week, I rededicated my life to Christ. 17 students.

3. This week, I was sanctified / fully surrendered my life to Christ. 15 students.

4. This week, I felt God call me to ministry or missions. I’M IN. 7 students.

Teen Camp / SuperCamp—We had 87 junior and senior high students attend Camp last week. 69 completed Response Cards, with these results:

1. This week, I committed my life to Christ for the first time. 5 students.

2. This week, I rededicated my life to Christ. 25 students.

3. This week, I was sanctified / fully surrendered my life to Christ. 39 students.

4. This week, I felt God call me to ministry or missions. I’M IN. 19 students.

Please continue to pray for our teens! God is doing, and will continue to do, amazing things through them, but they are up against a lot of challenges. They will need us to come alongside them, and we will need to learn to trust what God is doing through them as they step into leadership.
