Civic Saturday
May 16, 2026 @ 4:30 pm
“Beyond the Binary: The Art of Seeing Each Other”

Most of our modern world asks us to pick a side, draw a line, and stay there. But the Dignity Index shows us that when we trap people in "either/or" binaries, we lose our ability to solve problems and see our neighbors clearly.

Beyond the Binary is an invitation to move from the low-level comfort of "us vs. them" into the courageous high-level work of curiosity and complexity. In this Civic Saturday, we’ll practice moving the needle: trading our armor for inquiry and our labels for life stories. Join us as we explore how reclaiming our own dignity depends on our willingness to see the "both/and" in one another.

To my fellow Montanans struggling to answer "How are you?" these days...

Maybe use that question as a chance to connect with a stranger. It's a fun experiment.

Try saying, "About 3 out of 10, where are you at?" Or you could try- "How 'bout them Epstein files?" Etc. You do you.

If you ARE frustrated with the state of our nation and want to talk about it, LOOK NO FURTHER!

Come. Join us. Every other Wednesday at the Billings Quest Community Center. (Also the Unitarian and Humanist meeting space.) Located at 2032 Central Avenue. Our next meeting is Wednesday, May 6th at 7:00pm.

With the recent interest in crimes against women, we plan on having a presentation on how MEN in the community can be real allies and advocates. It starts with you, good men. We need you.

See ya Wednesday.

Nia To Go There "Truth and Meaning"

Nia To Go There will present on the fourth UU Principle focused on the free and responsible search for truth and meaning embodied within each of us. She will elaborate on this embodied wisdom present in each living cell and the central role of the heart and how we must live a heart-centered life in a culture that alienates the heart and all that is naturally human and healthy
