New Life Church family and friends,
Needless to say, you went far beyond my expectations. The love that was shown to the Hall family Tuesday made what was a very heavy load so much easier to carry. Your covering of God’s love spoke much louder than any words could ever have been spoken.
Jesus said it like this: “Love each other as I have loved you.” How did Jesus love us? He gave His life — not only on the cross, but He gave His time, His energy, and Himself every day for those in need. He cared enough to get involved in hurting people’s lives. Many of our minister friends came to show their love and support for Pastor Mark and myself.i
It was my intentions to have all of them to stand up out of our appreciation, and I apologize. It just got past me.
I saw that kind of love flowing out of all of you like a river. My tears of sorrow were turned to tears of joy as your love for us was manifested.
I’m sorry I didn’t get to say hi or spend time with each and every one of you. That would have made the event an even greater celebration than it already was.
Remember this: You matter, you count, and your presence makes a big difference. So don’t believe Satan’s lie that no one would even notice you. I noticed you, and my heart was made glad.
Our family felt valued because of the love of those who took time to come and help carry us through such a difficult day.
I might add that many of you could not be there, and I understand that, yet you were there in spirit. Your strength and prayers were felt.
I know Pastor Mark would have shaken his head in amazement to see how many people came out because of their love for him, his ministry, and his family.
Again, we thank you.
Lastly, if you know someone who was there that doesn’t have Facebook or doesn’t text, please share my thoughts with them. Let them know how deeply grateful we are.
From my heart to yours,
Pastor Hall
