Greetings from Big Sandy!

Staff training for both our Big Sandy and Day Camp staff is in full swing, and we are just FOUR days away from welcoming our Week 1 campers to Big Sandy and FIVE days away from Week 1 of Day Camp.

This year, we have a full team of 36 counselors training to bring Day Camp to DFW this summer! Day Camp has been an incredible opportunity to reach more young people who are not quite ready to head to Big Sandy.

We are excited to announce that we have 10 weeks of Day Camp across DFW! We are seeking support from families in the area to help make this adventure possible. There are two ways you can join us this summer:

1. Host Families: Housing for our staff is provided by families at the parishes hosting Day Camp. Host families will welcome three or more counselors into their home and provide a place to sleep, shower, and share some meals, including breakfasts and two dinners throughout the week.

2. Meal Support: Our staff needs to be fed throughout the week. We would love support from camper families to sponsor a meal for 36 counselors and join us for that meal! While the meal itself is important, we also see great value in hearing from our families firsthand.

Camp is soon and Senior Staffs are here!

Day Camp and Big Sandy Senior staffs have spent the last week together preparing for all things summer. They have spent time learning about leadership, diving into the mission of camp, spending time in prayer, and building a community to walk through the summer with.

They can’t wait to welcome the rest of staff and campers to camp in the coming weeks!
