Aisha (Aishah bint Abi Bakr) was a prominent figure in Islamic history, a wife of the Prophet Muhammad, and a significant source of hadith (sayings and traditions of the Prophet) in Islamic texts.

Her name and role are central to the Quran and Hadith, the primary religious texts of Islam, not the Bible, which is the sacred text of Christianity and Judaism. Asha (or Aša) has rich spiritual meanings, primarily representing Truth, Righteousness, Order, and Cosmic Law, especially in Zoroastrianism, contrasting with falsehood (druj) and guiding ethical living through good thoughts, words, and deeds (humata, huxta, huvarshta).

The Prophet (PBUH) used to affectionately call Aisha (RA) by the name "Aish."
