Between Sundays has been posted! This week, we focused on an important story within the larger story: Joseph and his brothers. A story of reconciliation and forgiveness grounded in grace.
"Then he washed his face and came out; and he controlled himself and said, “Serve the meal.” -Gen. 43.31

FBCG Family! Thursday Check-In!
We are now five weeks into our Covenant Series! It has been a fun journey, and I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have!

This Sunday, we are going to hit the pause button and take a step back for a big-picture overview and application of everything we have covered, from Creation to Moses. If you have missed a Sunday (or two!) or struggled to keep up with all the information, this is a great Sunday to get caught up!

Now, a little behind-the-scenes look at my sermon preparation... As your pastor, I want you to know that I spend a great deal of time each week studying, researching, and preparing for Sunday. It is something I genuinely enjoy. The grind is good! I do not, nor will I, use AI to write my sermons. Never! The study, wrestling with the text, and preparation are responsibilities I take seriously and consider a privilege. Each week, I compile my working notes, detailed outlines, preaching outlines, PowerPoints, and Between Sundays material and save them in organized folders.

Now, here is where I DID use AI... 😬🧐...I took all five weeks of notes, outlines, and teaching materials and asked AI to organize everything into one clean, easy-to-read study document. And I must admit, it did a pretty good job! More importantly, it saved me a tremendous amount of time.

I've made that document available on our church website for anyone who wants to dig a little deeper. So, between now and Sunday, I encourage you to spend time in the Word. Review the document, revisit what we have studied, and start connecting the dots.

My prayer is that you will begin to see God's grand story of redemption unfold through Scripture and understand how each covenant builds upon the others, ultimately pointing us to Jesus Christ. Remember, we aren't simply studying a collection of disconnected Bible stories. We are studying ONE unfolding story of God's redemptive plan, and we have the privilege of being part of it!

Looking forward to Sunday!
Pastor Bryan

Welcome, Janet! We are excited to welcome Janet Robertson to the FBC Gladewater staff as our new Office Administrator!

Janet brings years of administrative and leadership experience to this role, including serving as Executive Assistant to the President at The University of Texas at Tyler and, most recently, with Texas Bank and Trust. Even more importantly, Janet is already a familiar face and faithful member of the FBC Gladewater family, having served our church through various ministry teams, children’s ministry, VBS, music ministry, and more.

We are grateful the Lord has brought Janet into this role, and we look forward to the experience, heart for service, and love for our church family she will bring to our front office. Join us in welcoming Janet to the FBCG staff!

Good Morning, FBCG Family! We have an exciting Sunday planned for this week. We will celebrate the baptism of two individuals and continue our Covenant series.

⏰ Sunday School Small Groups at 9:00
💦 Baptism at 10:15
📖 Read Genesis 12-50 & Exodus 1-4 (yes, a lot!)

So far, we have looked at the covenant conduit and how God keeps pursuing us despite our failure. This week, we will look at Moses in Exodus. We know it's a lot, but if you have some time this weekend, read the remainder of Genesis and the first few chapters of Exodus. This will allow you to understand Moses' purpose in the larger narrative. It's so good!

Between Sundays has been posted! Have a great week, FBCG family!

God called Abraham to be a conduit of blessing for the nations, even though he was incapable of accomplishing that calling on his own. When hardship and uncertainty came, Abraham believed God's promise, and God counted that faith as righteousness. In Genesis 15, God alone passed through the...
