Offered by the Youth Group as a Spring Auction item, this special event is open to all. Enjoy a fun evening of 50s music and ice cream sundaes! This Friday, September 11, 6-9pm, at River Road. 1950s-style attire encouraged but not required.

You can purchase tickets at the door — $15 for adults, $5 for youth, free for children 5 and under.

The Board of Trustees will be joining to host an informal discussion about what it means to be a member of RRUUC. What are the benefits, responsibilities, joys, and challenges? What specific steps should someone take to become and remain a member? How can we make membership as meaningful as possible for you and others?

Beloveds, Unitarian Universalism is a tradition that brings the best of human care and goodness into the world. As we enter into another congregational year, with a world full of heartbreak and struggle, I remain grateful to be living into our shared values together with you. This year, my hope for us is that we continue to embrace a deep commitment to build for the future and for generations to come.

Here at the UUA, we rely on our relationships with you, and on your continued support, to elevate congregational life and advance our UU values in the world. Engaging with our programs is an important way to support our relational commitments with one another and there are some really wonderful, fresh offerings coming out this fall.

On behalf of our entire Unitarian Universalist Association, I bring you love and blessings as we move into this new congregational year. May we experience the sense of connection and care that comes with being part of a larger community, even as you each carry out your own essential and lifesaving ministries in your own communities.

Being pluralistic means being comfortable with multiple perspectives, a diversity of beliefs, ideas, and cultures. A mystic is a person who seeks direct, personal experience of the divine, spiritual truth, or ultimate reality." This Sunday, we’ll explore this a little longer than an elevator ride.
