God alone is the measure of what is honorable. Honor is ultimately understood and experienced within a profound personal relationship with God. There, in relation with Him and turned toward His honorable face, grace is found. God’s grace does not shame. It honors. It lifts the shamed, guilty, and fearful to ecstatic wonder, praise, and joy. It enables the redeemed to sing “amazing grace” without feeling like a wretch. —Larry Lichtenwalter

Forgiveness can feel difficult, especially when the hurt runs deep.

But research shows that holding onto resentment keeps our bodies in a constant state of stress.

God’s call to forgive isn’t asking us to forget the pain—it’s about releasing its hold on us and allowing room for relief, peace, and restoration.

Yes, the devil is responsible for evil and sin, but as humans with sinful natures, we need to take responsibility for our sinful actions. We still have free will, even though it is corrupted by sin. We can choose to follow Christ, to ask for His help, to be transformed. Let’s not make the devil our crutch.

The blessed might possess nothing, be hungry, humble, afflicted, humiliated, endure hardships, and be persecuted; the circumstances of life may turn against them; yet life cannot take that happiness from them because life has not given it to them. In such a way, the Beatitudes in the Sermon on the Mount depict a “reversal of all human values.”—Ranko Stefanovic

We are living in a time when uncertainty feels constant.

From global crises and natural disasters to economic instability and growing humanitarian needs, the world can seem unsettled in ways that test both our systems and our spirits. And yet, this is precisely where hope begins.

Here’s why ADRA has decided not to give up on hope. Link in the first comment.

So many people are suffering right now because of war. Please lift them up in prayer. Do what you can to alleviate suffering, to comfort the grieving, to call for peace. We know that sin destroys, but we call on a God of restoration and healing. Evil will not prevail, Love will win. In the meantime, we mourn the many lives that are lost.

Despite all the hubbub about heaven and hell and immortality, they are not the main focus of the biblical text. The main focus is God’s covenant and His promise to recreate and restore His good creation. RESTORATION and RECREATION. That is the point.
