New Day UMC is taking a Special Offering this Sunday — June 28 — to help fund a new home for Ezekiel’s Closet. As John Wesley said, “There is no holiness but social holiness,” and our support of vital community agencies like EC is a visual sign of this holiness. 🩷

An important, influential man. A religious leader. A Somebody. But also: A loving father with a critically ill daughter who turned to a reputed healer for help. Did the man ask out of faith? Or desperation? We don’t know. What we know is this: Jesus listened. He acted. And a miracle occurred. This Sunday’s sermon will focus on Jairus, his daughter, and the power of Jesus Christ as he challenges us to “Rise and Shine.” Join us at 10:30, with refreshments at 10:15. Everyone is invited!

A warm hug. A firm handshake. A neighborly pat on the back. A loving embrace: Respectful touch is an essential, affirming, life-giving part of human life. Nowhere is this more obvious than in Jesus’ healing ministry. This Sunday we begin a two-week series on this ministry as we look at “A Story in a Story” – intertwined miracles that celebrate God’s power, grace, and love. Join us as we learn how a bleeding woman’s life was changed when she reached out a hand to touch the hem of Jesus’ robe – as through faith she received “God’s Healing Touch.” Worship begins at 10:30; snacks at 10:15.

Beloved pastor and friend, Rev Jayne Markin, was accepted into provisional membership of the Missouri Conference! She will be commissioned tomorrow at the Service of Ordination. We are so proud of you, Jayne! ♥️
