Today, our hearts are heavy as we feel the loss of our beloved pastor, Patrick Lyons.

For 40 years, Pastor Lyons faithfully shepherded the people of Gospel Fellowship Church. His life was marked by a steadfast love for the Lord, a commitment to the preaching of God’s Word, and a genuine love for those God entrusted to his care. The impact of his ministry will continue to be seen for generations to come.

Today, we are reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul:

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7

Pastor Lyons finished his race well. He remained faithful to the calling God placed upon his life, and now he has entered into the presence of the Savior he so faithfully proclaimed.

We can also imagine hearing the words of Jesus as He declared:

“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your master.” Matthew 25:23

While we grieve his absence, we rejoice in the assurance that he is home with Christ. We thank God for the legacy Pastor Lyons leaves behind, a legacy of faith, perseverance, and faithful service to the Kingdom of God.

Please join us in praying for the Lyons family and all those whose lives were touched by Pastor Lyons’ ministry. May the Lord surround them with His peace, comfort, and sustaining grace in the days ahead.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Psalm 116:15
