Did you know that 22 veterans die by su***de every day?

Fr. Andrew attended the opening of the Field of the Forgotten Fallen yesterday. This memorial, created by Allegany County Veterans Services, will be open for the month of September, which is Mental Health Month.

Re-entry into civilian life is one of the hardest things many veterans have to do. Our support for them is critical.

If you are having a hard time and not sure how to go on, please reach out! Mike and the others at the County Veterans office offer many kinds of help, and the 988 su***de is also available. Our church can help connect you with resources, or just be there to sit with you and listen, without judgment. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out!

What's a big group of Episcopalians called?

We don't know... but we'll have a big group of Episcopalians all together this Sunday as the three Episcopal Churches of Allegany County, St. Paul's Angelica, Christ Episcopal Church, Cuba, NY, and St. John's Episcopal Church, Wellsville NY gather together as one for our 5th Sunday Tri-Church service. We'll also be joined by Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran.

**St. John's Wellsville is delighted to host this service at 11 am.**

We'll celebrate the presence of God with us in the Eucharist, and yes, the sermon will include a mention of the late, great, modern-day saint from Nashville, Dolly Parton of Blessed Memory.

Afterwards our priest and his wife will host a time for refreshments ("coffee hour") in their home behind the church ("Juniper Close" aka the Rectory).

ALL are most welcome to join us this Sunday, and we look forward to seeing you there!!

LOST DOG: "Token" Shear is still missing and his folks Rich and Gwyn are still hoping someone has seen their male English Pointer. He is orange and white, an athletic dog that could have roamed miles from the Fords Brook Road / Merservey Hill / Alma Hill area.
