Wellspring Ministries Serving those in need of food, clothing, household goods and encouragement in Allegany County

Each year many Allegany County families lose their homes and families to natural disasters such as flood and fire as well as personal disasters such as divorce, abandonment, and abuse. Many Allegany County residents barely exist from week to week on less than subsistence income, making it necessary to choose between feeding and clothing themselves. Many low income families lack the skills necessa

ry to successfully manage their finances and lives to enable them to maximize their resources. In response to this Wellspring Ministries will:
- As a result of prayer and financial support, provide for the effective and safe operation of a soup kitchen, food pantry, clothes closet and resource referral center for needy individuals.

- Provide individuals and families with opportunities to heal emotionally, physically, and spiritually by working in concert with appropriate churches, agencies, and institutions.

Our annual Easter Dinner will be served on Wednesday, April 1 at 11:30 a.m. after which Wellspring will be closed through Good Friday. We reopen on Wednesday, April 8.

Wellspring will be serving our annual Thanksgiving Dinner this Friday, 11-21 at 11:30. Reminder that we are closed all of next week and will reopen on Wednesday, December 3, at which time regular noon meals will begin again. Lots of good news for which we are grateful!

Just a reminder that the Wellspring Christmas Room opens tomorrow, Wednesday, November 19, 10-noon. We expect to be open through the Christmas season on Wednesdays and Fridays. Parents do not have to pre-register, no documentation is necessary but we ask you to be honest with us about your children.

Due to our well going dry, starting the week of October 8 and 10, Wellspring will be opening at 10 a.m. and closing at noon. No lunches will be served until further notice.

Wellspring will be closed on Friday, August 29, for the Labor Day weekend. We will reopen on Wednesday, September 3.
