The Creator of the universe, the almighty sovereign ruler of the nations, through Christ teaches His disciples not to address Him as Oh great one. Oh mighty one. Oh Creator and Ruler of All. Yahweh. Elohim. Adonai. He teaches His disciples to address Him as Father."

VBS Day 4!

Today, we learned what Jesus being God’s plan for forgiveness means for each of us personally. We are each in need of forgiveness-and Jesus is the answer to that need! Without Him, we deserve the punishment of death for our sins. In Him, we find grace, redemption, and forgiveness only He can bring.

We also took time to celebrate all we had done and learned during VBS by performing songs for our families and having a celebration meal!

VBS Day 3!

Today, we learned that Jesus is God’s proven Son. He proved he was the Son of God by defeating death when he rose from the grave after three days. This event changes everything!! Our sins have been paid for because of Jesus’ perfect sacrifice, and we can live forever with him if we accept him as our Lord and Savior.

VBS Day 2!

Today, we learned about the miracles Jesus performed. Jesus healed the sick, made the lame walk, opened the ears of the deaf, and fed the 4,000. He could do this because he is God’s powerful Son. Jesus brought light to the lives of those he fed and healed, and he can do the same for us today!

VBS Day 1 at Illumination Station!

John 8:12
“Jesus spoke to them again: ‘I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.’”
‭‭
As we memorized this verse today and focused on the truth that Jesus is the light of the world, we also learned the story of Peter rightly declaring that Jesus is the Messiah, God’s promised Son!

We aren’t called to live a comfortable life, but instead to radically love others in the way that Jesus loved us. No matter how uncomfortable or inconvenient!

"Radical mercy that leads to life requires actions that are uncomfortable and inconvenient. The Samaritan stopped. He got involved. It was messy. He became bloody, sweaty, and tired. He stayed up through the night. It cost him multiple days wages. Loving others the way God commands isn’t cheap or easy. It costs us our time, our energy, our emotions, and our money."
