Before you pray "God, send your fire" — read this first.
The most famous "fire of God" verse in the Bible was written by a man trying to quit ministry. Jeremiah had a fire in his bones right after he was beaten, humiliated, and mocked for sharing God's word. We preached through Jeremiah 16–20 this weekend, and the fire does three things. It purifies — it removes before it adds. It solidifies — soft clay gets reshaped, hardened clay gets shattered. It mobilizes — it keeps you going when everything in you wants to quit. We asked God to turn the fire on. Jeremiah spent his life unable to turn it off.

What a weekend at Camp Kalos! We wrapped up camp this morning with worship, a special Father’s Day celebration, and a powerful message from Pastor Pradeepan on the fire of God. From team competitions and pool time to small groups, worship, and meaningful conversations, we’re thankful for every moment shared together. Thank you to everyone who helped make Camp Kalos 2026 such a memorable weekend. We’re leaving encouraged, grateful, and excited for all that God will continue to do in the months ahead.

Day 2 brought the energy! We started the morning in worship, spent time creating vision boards, battled it out in Olympic games, cooled off at the pool, and made memories that will last long after camp is over. More importantly, we’re watching friendships grow and seeing God work in our lives. Thank you Pastor Taylor Murray for sharing an encouraging message with us. We’re excited for all God has in store on our final day!

Day 1 of Camp Kalos is in the books!

Long ferry lines hasn't dampened our spirits as we kicked off the weekend! We had an evening of passionate worship, meaningful small group discussions, and plenty of team spirit. Campers divided into teams, designed their flags, created chants, and began the friendly competition that will carry us through the weekend.

Most importantly, we're already seeing new friendships form and lives being impacted by the presence of God. We're excited to see all that He has in store for the rest of camp!

If we’re honest, we’ve all prayed something like this: “God, I’m trying to obey you… so why does it seem like people who ignore you are doing better than me?” Why save myself for marriage? Why run my business with integrity? Why forgive? Why give? Why obey? They’re ugly prayers. But they’re also real prayers. Jeremiah prayed them too. God isn’t intimidated by your questions. Bring them to Him.

Christian shared that while he always believed in God, he spent much of his life attending church without truly following Jesus. Fear, depression, loneliness, and self-doubt overshadowed the gifts God had given him. After coming to Kalos in 2025, joining a small group, building meaningful friendships, and being baptized, he experienced transformation through Christ and community. He shared how God has turned his fear into joy and continues to strengthen him through the people around him.
