Grace Kids at Home Lesson-
Esther saved her people
Passage: Esther
*Parents, for help summarizing the book of Esther watch "The Story of Queen Esther" by "Minno- Bible Stories for Kids" on Youtube.
Story Point: Esther obeyed God, risked her life, & saved her people
Questions:
1. When have you trusted God during a challenging time like Esther in our story?
2. How can we trust God's plans even when we don't understand them?
3. God's plan was greater than Haman's evil plan. How will God defeat evil and sin once and for all?
Activities:
1. As a team, see how long you can keep an inflated balloon off the ground by hitting it back and forth. Sometimes a balloon is hard to control, and reminds us that we cannot control everything perfectly. But God is in control of all things even when it may not seem like it!
2. Using whatever craft supplies you have at home, have each kid create a crown to decorate and wear. Take turns hiding one of the crowns around the house. Work together to try and find it.
3. Choose a family member to be the "king/queen". Prompt them to give the rest of the group instructions (like, "the king says, clap 3 times"). Take turns being the 'king/queen".
Christ Connection: Even though Haman tried to hurt God's people, God was in control and had a plan to save the Jews. Sin hurts us and breaks our relationship with God, but God had a plan from the very beginning to save us through Jesus' death on the cross.
