As Catholic women, we are called to be the light—not by drawing attention to ourselves, but by allowing Christ to shine through us.

We shine when we choose kindness, speak with grace, serve without recognition, forgive when it is difficult, pray for others, and courageously live our faith. Our everyday lives can point someone toward Jesus.

We don’t have to be the loudest light in the room. We simply have to be faithful enough to let His light shine through us.

Be the light. Reflect Christ. Let them see Him in you.

Today we remember St. Monica — mother of St. Augustine, woman of prayer and courage.

For years, Monica prayed faithfully for her son, never giving up hope that God was working even when she could not yet see it.

Her life reminds us as women, mothers, and friends: keep praying, keep trusting, and never underestimate what God can do through a faithful heart.

St. Monica, pray for us and for those we carry in our hearts.

Today the Church celebrates the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, eight days after the Assumption. Mary reigns as Queen of Heaven and Earth because her Son is the eternal King. The woman who gave her fiat at Nazareth, carried God beneath her heart, and stood faithfully beneath His Cross now stands crowned beside Him in glory.

Mary is the Queen Mother of Christ’s Kingdom, our Mother and our intercessor. For centuries the Church has called her Regina Caeli, Queen of Heaven, Queen of Angels, Queen of Martyrs, Queen of Peace. She carries the prayers of her children before the throne of the Son she first carried within her womb.

And our Queen knows the ordinary weight of human life. She knew uncertainty, exile, motherhood, grief, waiting, and the terrible sorrow of Calvary. The woman crowned among the stars is the same Mary who pondered everything quietly in her heart. We can place our families, our fears, our unanswered prayers, and the people we love into her motherly hands.

“Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope.” Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth, pray for us, remain close to us, and lead us always to your Son.

Today, on the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we look to Mary as a beautiful example of what it means to belong completely to Christ.

Her crown was not earned through power or status, but through her humble “yes” to God—a yes lived through faith, surrender, service, and love.

As Catholic women, may we remember that our greatest beauty and strength are found when we allow Christ to reign in our hearts. Like Mary, may our lives continually say:
“Let it be done to me according to your word.”

On the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we are reminded of the beautiful dignity and hope God gives to us as women.

As women, may we look to our Blessed Mother and ask for the grace to say our own daily “yes” to God—to love generously, serve faithfully, and trust Him even when we cannot see the whole path ahead.

Mary, assumed body and soul into Heaven, reminds us that our ultimate home is with God and that a life given to Him is never wasted.

Why this theme? Because the world needs the light of Christ—and He calls us to carry it.

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

At this year’s Christ in Her Women’s Conference, we are inspired by St. Lucy, our patroness, who courageously bore witness to Christ as a true bearer of light even in the midst of darkness. Her faith reminds us that no darkness can overcome the light of Christ within us.

We are reminded that our faith isn’t meant to be hidden. Through our words, our love, our service, and the way we live each day, we can reflect Christ to those around us.

Come be renewed, encouraged, and inspired to BE THE LIGHT!

Feast of St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein)

In a world that encourages comfort, St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross reminds us that holiness is found in surrender.

Born Edith Stein, she was a brilliant philosopher who searched tirelessly for truth. That search led her to Christ. She left behind a promising academic career, entered the Carmelite Order, and ultimately gave her life as a martyr at Auschwitz. Her witness teaches us that following Jesus means giving Him not just part of our lives—but everything.

How can we imitate St. Teresa Benedicta today?

✝️ Seek the Truth with humility, trusting that all truth leads to Christ.

🤎 Choose faith over comfort, even when discipleship is costly.

🙏 Spend time in silent prayer, allowing God to transform your heart.

❤️ Love sacrificially, seeing Christ in every person you encounter.

🌿 Carry your daily crosses with hope, knowing that suffering united to Christ is never wasted.

May her courage inspire us to live our faith boldly, to trust God completely, and to give our whole hearts to Christ.

We are so excited to announce our 2027 Patroness is St. Lucy

Saint Lucy, reminds us of one of the most beautiful images in our Catholic faith: "Light". Her very name, Lucy, comes from the Latin word "lux", meaning "light." Yet the light she carried was far more than a name; it was the radiant light of Christ shining through a heart completely surrendered to Him.

St. Lucy lived during a time of intense persecution of Christians. She refused to deny her faith, choosing Christ above comfort, security, and even her own life. Though darkness surrounded her, the light within her could not be extinguished. Her courage reminds us that true light is not the absence of hardship; it is the presence of Christ in the midst of it.

We pray:
St. Lucy, faithful witness of Christ and radiant bearer of His light, pray for us. Help us to remain steadfast in our faith, courageous in our witness, and joyful in our service. Teach us to shine with the light of Christ in our homes, our families, our workplaces, and our communities. May those who encounter us see not ourselves, but Jesus living within us. Help us to trust that no darkness is greater than His love, and may our lives always glorify our Heavenly Father. Amen.
