Limiting Thoughts:
" As he thinks within himself, so is he"
Proverbs 23:7 TPT

If you change the way you think, you will change your life. There are times when you may find yourself dwelling on things that are not noble, praiseworthy, and so on. (Philippians 4:8) but learn to take every though captive (2 Cor.10:5) and think about them through faith. What you put your thoughts toward is an intentional decision a choice you make. If we can train our minds not only to identify by limiting our thoughts but to focus on Jesus and his power, we will overcome our own disbelief and truly start to change our lives. Work on it, you can do it.

Don’t Envy the Sinners:
Don’t envy sinners, but always continue to fear the LORD . (NLT) -Proverbs 23:17

Social media can become an envy trap. We see those who appear to have more fun, more wealth, more success, and more things and our hearts can become ungrateful!
Envy almost feels normal in the culture we live in, it can be hard to even notice how it hurts our hearts. God warns us to be careful not to envy but trust that God has placed you in your own life with your specific set of resources to tell a perfectly unique story that only you can tell. Don’t envy the sinners. Live with gratitude for the life God has gifted you!

Getting Right:
But the people of Israel, who tried so hard to get right with God by keeping the law, never succeeded. (NLT) -Romans 9:31

Why is it that the Israelites never succeeded in getting right with God? It certainly isn't because they didn't try hard enough. It's because they couldn't earn their way. When you begin to think you can work your way in God's favor, watch out. We can't go to church, give enough money, or do enough good to be right in God's eyes. Only faith in God's grace is powerful enough to keep you right with God.

Die to Self:
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (NLT) -Galatians 2:20

During Jesus’ life, he served, loved, and even sacrificed His life for us. That’s not an easy example to live up to, but it does put into perspective the expectations we have for our relationships. We have to die to ourselves in order to be the kind of people that follows the example of Jesus.

Not Neglect:
And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. (NLT) -Hebrews 10:25

It's easy to get carried away with busy schedules and slip away from going to church. After all, there are only two days in the weekend. But don't let yourself forget the importance of church. Where will you go and who will you turn to in hard times? If you are already established in the church routine, you will find lots of support.

He Is Good:
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. (NLT) -Psalm 107:1

We witness God's love as we get together with our loved ones. Relationships may be difficult at times but God has brought us together for a reason. If love of family filled the air, let's be thankful to our heavenly father. If it's been a challenging day dealing with siblings, parents, cousins or in-laws, lean on God even harder and trust that there is a greater purpose for the events that have taken place.

Our Hope:
And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. (NLT) -Romans 5:5

Placing our hope in Christ does not lead to disappointment. Jesus and His story of heroic love is no fairy tale. It's the truth, in its purest and most lovely form. If you are struggling to believe how real our hope is, remember God offers us a Helper, the Holy Spirit, to encourage our souls. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reassure your heart, confirming that your salvation is real and secure with Jesus.

Who Else?:
Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale? (NLT) -Isaiah 40:12

Who else is as great and mighty as our God? We cannot fully wrap our minds around how vast He is. The mystery of God is what keeps us in awe, humble, and in a constant pursuit to know him more. We will never fully understand nor stop needing to learn more about who our God is. Who else can so fully capture our hearts and imaginations? Who else is worthy of our praise? There is no one like our Great God. He alone is God.
