We've had two exciting events the past two Sundays!

On August 16th, Pastor Sean's family was able to attend services at St. John's. It was wonderful meeting Pastor Maria and Ethan! We look forward to their next visit.

On Sunday, August 23rd, Pastor Sarah Quinney of Myrtle Beach, substituted for Pastor Sean who was busy getting his son settled into his Junior year at Valparaiso University. While Pastor Sarah was here, she provided an update on the current services that Lutheran
Services of the Carolinas (LSC) provides. LSC offers a wide variety of support and assistance including Christmas gifts for Foster Children, and distribution of handmade quilts - both of which St. John's members help to supply. LSC also provides healthcare services for Seniors, disaster response, refugee support, and transitional housing. Pastor Sarah emphasized the many different ways that St. John's members can contribute to LSC.
