"When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:1-4
Just before Jesus ascended into Heaven, He told His disciples "You will receive power from the Holy Spirit and you will be my witnesses.." These words became truth at Pentecost.
Fifty Days after Jesus died on the Cross, His disciples and many others came to faith in Christ. May we sit in Awe of that first Pentecost Sunday and take comfort that the Holy Spirit dwells in each of us.
May we pray "Come Holy Spirit" . May we hold on to the Power of your Presence in our lives. May we embrace our future as you lead us to Glory.
