Congratulations to our Bishop elect, Justin Grimm!

The Rev. Justin Grimm has been elected to a six-year term as bishop of the Saint Paul Area Synod! He currently serves as the synod's director for evangelical mission and assistant to the bishop for congregational vitality, a position he’s held since 2015. He previously served as lead pastor at Advent Lutheran Church in Lake Ann, Mich., after first serving as the mission developer. He is a graduate of Northwestern College, Iowa and Luther Seminary. He was ordained in 2005. Bishop-Elect Grimm will succeed The Rev. Patricia Lull, who is completing her second term as bishop. An installation service will be held Sept. 13.

Empowering new mothers worldwide, 45 Baby Kits are now ready for distribution through Lutheran World Relief! These kits will bring essential support and supplies to families in need, fostering a brighter start for newborns globally. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia! Happy Easter! May your life be shaken; may your senses be rattled; may your knees go out from under you. Jesus is alive and that changes everything! Congratulations to those receiving first communion today!
And a special thank you to our musicians, ushers, greeters, worship assistants, and to all who helped with the Easter breakfast!!! It made the morning so joyful!

Tonight, we remember Christ's commandment to love as he loved us. Tomorrow, we hear Jesus' own words from the cross and watch as light is extinguished gradually throughout the evening. Saturday, silence. We long for Sunday. We long for new life. We long for Jesus. Sunday is coming...

Getting ready for First Communion. Tonight these beautiful children of God learned about the special meal Jesus gave us to share together; to receive forgiveness and remember Him. It’s all about how much Jesus loves us, so we give Jesus our full attention when we receive communion. Can’t wait for Sunday!

This past Wednesday was our final soup supper and Why Jesus? Worship. Matthew Wubben shared why Jesus matters to him and how important prayer, scripture and community are to our faith. Thanks Matt! Amazing job!
