There's no easy way to talk about this...the loss of 2 babies recently in our community who felt they couldn't handle this life any longer is heartbreaking.

Our youth group is in the heart of a sermon series on the book of James which is talking directly at the issues youth are struggling with...how we treat those around us! We are talking about the tough subjects of bullying, gossip, unity, compassion and empathy.

If your youth is struggling with recent events, doesn't seem to fit in or the most popular kid in the halls...we have a place for them in a smaller environment they can feel connection in!

We have youth group for the rest of summer the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 630pm. Please, feel free to give us a whirl and let's get our kids through the hardest years of life together!

Ages 10-18 are welcome!

At youth group last night we did a fun illustration on how once we say something, it can never be taken back.

James 3:1-12 talks about taming the tongue and how hard it is to keep it under control. Holy Spirit works on us and helps us to get better, but this side of eternity we will still fall short at times. It is especially hard with those closest to us, siblings or parents. Before we have that brilliant thing to share with someone (especially while upset), we need to stop and THINK...

N- is it necessary
K- is it kind

On 6/3 we will be focusing on James 3:13-18 if you want to encourage your kids to read and discuss at home.
