At youth group last night we did a fun illustration on how once we say something, it can never be taken back.

James 3:1-12 talks about taming the tongue and how hard it is to keep it under control. Holy Spirit works on us and helps us to get better, but this side of eternity we will still fall short at times. It is especially hard with those closest to us, siblings or parents. Before we have that brilliant thing to share with someone (especially while upset), we need to stop and THINK...

On 6/3 we will be focusing on James 3:13-18 if you want to encourage your kids to read and discuss at home.

April fools youth group started out with some tomfoolery and ended with the girls (oofda, one is ugly) winning in trivia!
We have been studying the book of James and just finished up chapter 1. The homework assignment we have for the kids is to read James 2:1-13 a few times before our next meeting on 4/15.

Happy Easter everyone, THE KING IS RISEN!!!

I plowed the lower lot the best I could without actually touching the blade to the ground and turning it into an excavation project. Please, if you are wearing sensible shoes or boots and have active bodies, use the lower lot. Would be great to leave the upper lot for guests, people less active and those pretty pink or white Easter shoes!
