Thank you, Junior Helpers! 🙌

We are so thankful for each of our Junior Helpers for the energy, leadership, and joyful service they brought throughout VBS. Their willingness to step in, serve, and encourage our campers made such a difference ❤️—we appreciate them more than words can say!

It was great to see them enjoy a friendly kickball game together as a fun way to celebrate the end of an amazing week.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for VBS 2027, June 14–18, 2027 📅 as we gather for “Crave: Stirring Up a Hunger for Jesus” 🍞🙏

Please join us in praying for the repose of the soul of Pete Walsh, our former Deacon Assistant, whose faithful service blessed our parish community for many years, and for the consolation of his family and friends. 🙏

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

It is with sadness that the Diocese of Baton Rouge announces the death of Deacon Peter Walsh, a retired deacon of the Diocese of Baton Rouge, who served previously as the Deacon Assistant at St. Patrick Church in Baton Rouge and St. Thomas More Church in Baton Rouge. He passed away on Sunday, 21 June 2026 after a recent illness.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him!

Funeral arrangements are pending and will be communicated once they are completed.

Please keep Deacon Walsh, his family, and all who mourn his loss in your prayers. May he rest in peace!

Thank You, St. Thomas More Parishioners! 🙏✨

Everyone at Vacation Bible School would like to thank the parishioners of St. Thomas More for your generous gifts of time, talent, and treasure 💛. Our week was filled with smiles, songs 🎶, laughter 😄, and faith-filled fun, and we could not have done it without your support.

From the volunteers who brought Rainforest Falls to life through teaching, organizing, decorating, leading activities, and singing, to those who generously provided treats and snacks 🍪 for our campers and wonderful junior helpers, each contribution helped make this week a success 🌟.

Together, we explored the nature of God through His beautiful creation 🌿 and discovered new ways to grow closer to Him. Thank you for helping create an environment where children could learn, pray 🙏, laugh, and experience the love of Christ ❤️.

May we all continue to find God in the beauty of the world around us 🌺 and in the people He places in our lives to lead us closer to Him ✝️.
