It's rummage sale time - this Friday from 9-5 and Saturday from 9-1 - come and find all sorts of treasures - and then join us for worship on Sunday!

Giving thanks to our Bountiful Creator for the promise of a beautiful, warm, pre-winter day here in Cincinnati! And, for the opportunity to go to Whit's in Blue Ash with the 1:00pm Bible Study folks!! :)

Sorry, I missed posting something yesterday, but I do want to try to be faithful to the goal of being thankful throughout Advent. So, here goes - I am thankful for the 7 other St. John people who took 3+ hours out of their Sunday afternoon to go Christmas Caroling to 14 of our homebound members - what a blessing it was for all involved! Thanks Dave & Carol, Gary, Carol, Jim and Gail, and Kathy!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! Here is a great scripture for this day: Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

I am thankful there are things that are noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy - and most of all for the saving love and acceptance of Jesus Christ!
