Thank you the Church of the Good Shepherd Evangelical Covenant for hosting a Halloween party for our youth as well as Naperville Covenant and Christ Covenant of Villa Park! A great time of connection and fun was had by all! Happy Halloween!

A group from our church served at Jesus People USA (JPUSA) on October 17. Thank you all for your generous donations, we ended up with two trunk loads full! We sorted through items and filled 30 backpacks for delivery to those in need. We filled them with socks, towels, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, granola bars, dude wipes, hydration packets and many other little items. We also delivered emergency weather blankets and gallons of water. Our host, KC, made the experience very easy and memorable for the kids and adults. Everyone was able to find a role to help! We met many unhoused individuals living in tents around the community and many were very grateful for the supplies.

Beginning Monday, October 26 at 6:30pm, Batavia Covenant Church will offer a space for anyone who is grieving to process that loss and pain in a safe and supportive setting. The group will gather for 8 weeks on Monday evenings. Rev. Javier Carrillo will be leading this group based on Rev. Lisa Orris's Grief Guide Ministry. Please share this with anyone who is dealing with loss. All are welcome. Contact the church office at 630-879-3721 with any questions.
