Dear River City Church Family,

We are writing to inform you that River City Church will cease to operate after February 22, 2026. This decision was not made lightly and comes from our denominational leadership in conjunction with our church’s advisory board.

Following the closure, all remaining funds will first be used to pay any outstanding bills or debts of the church. Once those obligations are satisfied, the remaining funds will be directed to the Assemblies of God Synergy Fund, which supports church planting efforts.

We recognize that this news may be difficult to receive and that this transition may feel especially challenging as you begin to seek a new church home. Below are several Assemblies of God congregations in our region that may be a good fit for you and your family:

We warmly invite you to continue worshiping and praying with us until our closure. Services will continue on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. On Sunday, February 22, we will share a meal together following the service, providing an informal opportunity for remembrance, reflection, and goodbyes.

Please know that we continue to pray for each of you and are deeply grateful for the years of ministry, fellowship, and shared life we have experienced together.

Tomorrow morning, we have the opportunity to bless one of our family members - Linda Claud. She is facing stage four cancer in several organs and needs help cleaning and organizing her house to receive family members to care for her during treatment.

As a family, we are passionate about serving and encouraging one another. We hope to see you there!
