Pope Leo XIV has voted in the midterm elections of the United States, expressing his “belief in the right and the duty of citizens to participate in democratic processes.”

The Holy See Press Office confirmed on Friday that Pope Leo XIV, an American citizen, "has exercised his right to vote as a United States citizen, whenever he was eligible to do so."

The Press Office confirmed that, “in keeping with this long-standing practice of civic participation, he has submitted his mail-in ballot in Chicago.”

“The Holy Father has also confirmed that, during his years of residence in Peru he exercised his right to vote whenever he was eligible to do so,” noted the statement.

🕯️ REMEMBERING THOSE WE LOVE

Love does not end when someone leaves this earthly life. Their memory lives in our hearts, our prayers, and the love we continue to share.

On Monday, November 2, at 6:00 PM, St. Joseph Parish invites you to our Festival of Lights and Remembrance of the Holy Dead.

Together, we will gather in prayer, remember our departed loved ones, and read their names aloud. Luminaria will illuminate our parish grounds as beautiful reminders that the light of love continues to shine.

🙏 Come remember. Come pray. Come share in the hope of our faith.
