Happy Friday, friends!! The long weekend is here! 🎉 And while we may be looking forward to sleeping in, spending time with family and friends, or simply enjoying a slower pace, let’s remember that rest is more than just taking a break—it’s an opportunity to pause, breathe, and reconnect with God.

Whatever this weekend holds for you, make room for a little quiet. Put down the to-do list. Enjoy the people around you. Notice the beauty in the ordinary. And remember that you don’t have to have everything figured out today. God is already there, going before you and walking beside you. ❤️

Last night at Youth Bible Study, students completed a blind obstacle course by listening carefully to the voice guiding them through barriers they could not see. The experience connected with the story of Shiphrah and Puah: they could not see what would happen if they disobeyed Pharaoh, but they trusted God enough to take the next faithful step.

Like navigating the obstacle course, following God’s call can be difficult when fear, pressure, powerful voices, and uncertain consequences stand in our way. Shiphrah and Puah teach us about holy resistance, listening for God’s voice above every other voice and refusing to participate in actions that harm our neighbors.

Our students listened to Scripture, discussed and discerned what it meant for their relationships with God, neighbor, and self, and then worked in teams to create actions inspired by the story. Scripture should do more than inform us; it should move us to act!

We are excited by how intentional our youth have been on their collective goal of becoming confident in their relationship with God. Through the Means of Grace and weekly “United Methodist Moments,” we are helping them develop practices that deepen their faith and guide their daily lives.

Middle and high school students are invited to join us every Wednesday:

🎉 BIG Picture Night was a BIG success! 📸🙌

Our youth had an awesome night of fun and fellowship! They came together to sign up for volunteer opportunities and discover ways they can make a difference by serving Christ and our community. We’re so proud of our youth for looking beyond themselves and seeing the BIG picture—there are so many ways to serve, love, and make a difference! 💙

And of course, we couldn’t have a night this big without plenty of FUN! 😎 We had inflatables, delicious pizza, yummy snow cones, and LOTS of pictures! 🍕🍧📸
