Another great day working on our VBS set pieces. We were able to begin to put three of our buildings together. The kids had a great time playing outside. The lunch, Brazilian style hot dogs, was awesome. Thanks to all who helped and Shawn and Alicia for your hospitality.

Last week there was some changes made to Upstreet. We were able to purchase a brand new neon sign to welcome all our kiddos. The carpet was replaced and we have new chairs. The finishing touch are the new clam shell lights. Thank you to those who made this all possible. Praise the Lord!

AWANA President Night, we had Laura Bush, Jackie O, Mrs. Truman, Donald Trump, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Nancy Reagan and others. Great fun for all.

What an awesome bake sale we had today for the AWANA club. Thank you for all who made something and another great big thank you to those who purchased items to help our club.

Thanks to all of the folks helping make some of the set pieces for this year’s VBS. Thanks Shawn and Alicia for hosting a great work day. We had a great time serving, fellowshiping and growing deeper in our friendships.

Yesterday was a lot of fun in Upstreet Labatory and Upstreet. We celebrated National Rubber Ducky Day a couple of days early. The kids learned about Ernie and his rubber ducky. The kids left with a rubber ducky of their own and a tattoo. When I was sharing this with my wife, she asked me, “what does this have to do with God?” I simply said, “it’s just fun.” Then I quoted a verse of scripture, “a merry heart is like a good medicine.” It was so much fun to see all our workers wearing a rubber ducky shirt, kids wondering what the heck is going on in Upstreet and then walking out with a rubber ducky of their own. So much fun
