Labor Day weekend is upon us! A cool start to the day, and a sense of fall is in the air. What better way to start a Sunday than with a uplifting service at The Remnant Christian Fellowship. It's Communion Sunday, too. We'll have warm beverages and tasty snacks waiting, and a great message from Pastor Steve Hall. Please come and join us before heading off to your holiday festivities. A great time to get yourself and your loved ones to church as Pastor Steve returns from a journey and I'm certain he is anxious to share the details. And if you don't have a church, never been to church, or maybe somewhere in between, why don't you consider visiting Sunday morning. Our church family is welcoming and we will have some snacks and warm beverages to satisfy. Service begins at 9:30am. Hope to see you there. Grace and peace. — Nelson 'Church Elder'

As the new school season is about to begin for many, I thought I'd get us prepared for the coming fall season with a focus on servanthood. It's time to gather more regularly as a church body and focus on our spiritual growth as we serve together. Come and learn the difference between serving and servanthood. As always we will have refreshments waiting for you. Pray we'll see you there. Grace and peace. — Nelson 'Church Elder'

After a couple of recent trips I realized that we have plenty of baggage to pack our material things in, which is good, of course. That baggage stays in storage until we need it. However, there's another type of baggage we use. It's the kind of baggage that we pack our struggles and troubles in and we carry it around daily—unseen baggage. Some of us have a shoulder bag full, some lug around a carry-on size, while some of us have a steamer trunk loaded to the hilt with a cover that will barely close. Emotional and physical hurts baggage...what size are you carrying?

God wants to help us and heal us with the stuff we all carry around. He wants to heal our brokenness and bind up our wounds. One way He does it is through unity in the body of Christ, in church, through confession and prayer. Sometimes the prayer is private with the pastor or elders, or sometimes corporately with a number of brothers and sisters in Christ. The choice is yours, but church is always a good place to be. Make it point to be at The Remnant Christian Fellowship this Sunday. Service time is 9:30am. A wonderful church family is ready to pray for you. Grace and peace. — Nelson 'Church Elder'

Pastor Steve continues his 'Armor of God' series this week at the Remnant Christian Fellowship Sunday service.

The battle to stay on the narrow path that leads to eternal life is real for believers. We need all the protection and weaponry we can get to be victorious in our daily struggle with our sinful nature. As Satan is relentless in his attacks, both outright and subtle, we also must be relentless in our pursuit for holiness. How do we do it? Come and hear Pastor Steve as he explains how you can have victory in your Christian walk.

Come and enjoy great fellowship, refreshments, worshipful music, prayer, and a message that will empower you for the new week and month to come. Grace and peace. — Nelson 'Church Elder'

One of God's greatest warriors of the gospel, Billy Graham, once said, “Prayer is the Christian's greatest weapon.” Maybe Billy was referring to Ephesians 6:18 when he made that statement. But after a lifetime of serving the Lord, Billy also understood that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective as it is working (James 5:16).

At the Remnant Christian Fellowship, we also believe in the power of prayer and that it truly is our greatest weapon. If you need prayer, please come and join our worship service Sunday morning at 9:30am. Come a little early so we get a chance to know you a bit. We will also have some refreshments waiting for you to enjoy. Hope to see you there. Grace and peace. — Nelson 'Church Elder'
