The Remnant

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18

I recently heard a recording of a man chastising a Christian radio host for spreading his narrow minded religion to the masses, a diatribe that went on for almost three minutes. The host and two producers listened patiently. The response from the host, Grainger Smith, was the scripture above. Indeed, to those who are perishing, those who the world has tightly in its grasp, God's word surely must sound like foolishness. But for those of us who have come to faith and believe and have been changed, we now see things clearly; we know it is the power of God for we have been saved from an eternity apart from our heavenly Father.

So, this is your invitation to come to The Remnant Christian Fellowship and hear God's word, words that are living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword; words that pierce to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow; words that discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart...the truth.

As a little rain this weekend brings a little nourishment to our freshly planted gardens, so does a steady application of God's word to help us grow in our faith. A bit of a damp weekend will hinder our outdoor plans, so why not take the time to see what others have found at The Remnant Christian Fellowship.

Pastor Steve will take a short break from our verse-by-verse study, and deliver some relevant topical messages. We are looking forward to hearing what God has placed upon his heart.

We are pretty easy to find. The fellowship is inviting, and we will have hot and cold beverages and some tasty snacks, too. Sunday service is always at 9:30am. Hope to see you there! Grace and peace. — Nelson 'Church Elder'

God is doing something, He's always up to something...right now. Let me ask you, is God working in and through you? Are you living the life God wants you to live? In Ephesians 4:1 Paul says, "As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received."

Someday, the Lord himself will come down from heaven to gather up his children. Is that day today? Know one knows for sure, and scripture says that no man knows the day or the hour of his return, so we must be prepared regardless. Come to The Remnant Christian Fellowship this morning for Sunday service and be strengthened and built up in your faith. Be prepared, dear friend. And for those who are seeking the Lord and what the Christian faith means, please come and learn and receive. The fellowship is wonderful, and the beverages and snacks are delicious. The Memorial Day weekend is now upon us. We pray that part of your plans this weekend is to attend a Memorial Day service or parade to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we have today. A beautiful Sunday in store for those who have been waiting for a break from the cooler weather. And certainly a great day to visit The Remnant Christian Fellowship Church.
