We had a great time volunteering at JRA on Sunday! We went to the warehouse to pack boxes full of non-perishable food items to be distributed around the community. Stay tuned for our fall volunteer date to come!

Kesher Arts and Culture toured the Italian Market learning about the history of each of the eight vendors visited. The group enjoyed fabulous samples of cheeses, infused olive oils and balsamic vinegars, smoked fish and cannoli from third and fourth generation shop owners.

Get ready for Shabbat with a fun Friday afternoon playdate! As part of our BAI Tots program, we'll play, take a nature walk, hear a story, and share some yummy pizza! Join us this Friday from 4:30-6:00. Geared towards families with children under the age of 5 and open to the community!

Today is National Gun Violence Awareness Day. Shorashim participated in Penn Live Arts’ Toll the Bell, a city-wide sound installation to bring greater awareness to the gun violence epidemic throughout the country. This call to action serves as a reminder to work towards change for the future of Philadelphia and beyond. Thank you to our Shorashim students for participating and learning

We will be participating at BAI by blowing Shofars and other noise-makers at 1 pm on Friday, June 5. Join us to honor Gun Violence Awareness Day!

We will be joined by over 45 sound partners for this year’s Toll the Bell sound installation on June 5, National Gun Violence Awareness Day. At 1 PM, listen for bell ringing and other sound making across the city, calling attention to the gun violence epidemic and encouraging change.
