QUO VADIS - Day 2

Seminarian Alex Cunningham kicked off Day 2 with his talk on prayer, featuring his own prayer life development, an explanation of the daily Examen, and ending with a tutorial on Lectio Divina, in which everyone joined in. After breaking into small groups to further discuss Alex's talk, everyone came back together for Mass, celebrated by Father Jason Buck.
Although it was a rainy day, there was no shortage of activities - following Mass and lunch, all campers created and performed skits based on the parable of the Prodigal Son, from which our theme this week (Everything I Have is Yours) was derived. Believe it or not, the high school men loved the stage!
The day came to a close with a Penance Service celebrated by our newly ordained Priests for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and finally, Saint Stories around the campfire.

QUO VADIS - Day 1

Yesterday marked our first day at Quo Vadis 2026!

After check-in, the day started with ultimate rock paper scissors and some icebreaker games led by seminarian MC, Michael Fairorth. Then, our first seminarian talk, "Everything I Have is Yours", was given by seminarian Andrew Pinto. Later, Father English celebrated Mass, and seminarian Michael Topley taught everyone how to pray Liturgy of the Hours like a priest. Dinner was followed by plenty of games - glow dodge ball, Steal the Bacon, World Cup soccer - and finally, everyone enjoyed some popsicles and Compline.

June 12 is the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the World Day of Sanctification for Priests.

Today, Pope Leo addresses all priests:

"The Heart of Christ, pierced for love, is the living and life-giving flesh that embraces each of us and conforms us to the image of the Good Shepherd....
Today, then, I invite you to renew before the Heart of Christ the “yes” that you said to God and to his holy People on the day of your Ordination. Let yourselves be shaped by grace and guard the fire of the Spirit received on that day, so that, in union with him, you may be a sacrament of Jesus’ love in the world. Do not be daunted by your personal frailty: the Lord does not look for perfect priests, but for humble hearts that are open to conversion and prepared to love others as he himself loved us."

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
