Hear Ye Hear Ye! The Archdiocese has announced that Father Timothy F. O'Sullivan has been named Pastor of Holy Family Parish. Since Father O'Sullivan came to Holy Family in June of 2025, he has brought many new things along with him. The processions to the Grotto to honor The Blessed Mother, crowning her in all her splendor, the Live Nativity and Living Stations, are new traditions we hope to have for years to come. The new resurfacing of "The Courtyard", fencing, landscaping, lighting, etc. All these projects that were started and completed in just under a year is astounding.

With open hearts, we welcome Father O'Sullivan to the hills of Manayunk to lead our parishioners long into the future. May we pray for God's blessings for him to continue on his journey as Pastor of Holy Family Parish.

We look forward to what is in our future in the years to come.

Happy Thursday! Last evening members of our parish joined to discuss this coming weekend's gospel. Did you know they meet every Wednesday in the Convent Building from 7-7:45?
All people are welcomed to join, there is great conversation, fellowship and evangelization! Take a peek at the photo, is there someone there you know? Bring a friend and make some new ones.

With the conclusion of May upon us, Father O'Sullivan plans to process to Our Lady's Grotto after the 11am mass on Sunday, May 31st. Please plan to join us to give praise to The Blessed Mother that she so rightly deserves.

Did ya hear the Good News? Holy Family is back in the 4th of July Parade! Not only are we in the parade, we are forming a committee to make it our best one yet. Celebrating 250 Years of The Land of the Free and Home of the Brave... America!

Father O'Sullivan would love to show Manayunk and Roxborough how strong a parish Holy Family is. He'd like all who come to the parade to wear a Holy Family Proud t-shirt!

If you'd like to order a shirt, you may do so by calling the Rectory at 215-482-0450 and letting us know the size and quantity you'd like. OR if you can't make the parade and just want to show your Holy Family Pride, we can ship the shirts to you! The shirts are $15 from child small to adult XXL, shipping would be an additional $3.

This past Sunday was another great Hospitality Sunday! Parishioners gathered after mass was celebrated and enjoyed coffee, donuts and pastries together!

Upcoming events to Holy Family in the next few weeks:

-TONIGHT! Gospel Reflection Group. From 7-7:45, the group discusses the upcoming weekend's Gospel.

- Saturday, Mass will be celebrated at 4pm

-Sunday, Mass will be celebrated at 9am and 11am.

-Monday, Memorial Day, Mass will be celebrated at 9am.

- T-shirt sales for the 4th of July are being sold for $15 each. Please place you order in the Sunday collection basket in an envelope clearly marked "4TH OF JULY SHIRT ORDER" with your name and phone number and sizes you'd like to order!

- May 30th, there are two events. In the morning, there will be a service day to clean out the attic of the rectory, Lots of hands and volunteers are needed.

After 4pm Mass, we will gather for Wine and Cheese after Mass. please plan on coming and enjoying each other's company in the Rectory.

Do-nut forget! Sunday is Hospitality Sunday after the two morning masses. Come and socialize with fellow parishioners. If you are looking for a parish with fellowship and evangelization, come join us!

Holy Family offers a scholarship that was established by Dr. Aloysius O'Harra in the 1930's. He was not a member of Holy Family. He chose Holy Family out of the blue. He started this scholarship with the hopes of helping those who wanted to earn a degree in higher education, as someone did for him while he was pursuing his medical degree. This scholarship is available to active Holy Family parishioners who are Seniors in high school who will attend a Pennsylvania four year college or university.

We asked prior scholars who have graduated a question on how the O'Harra Scholarship had a meaningful impact on the college journey and how will they pay it forward as Dr. O'Harra did.

Our first scholar is Alex, please read what she had to say about her O'Harra experience.

Receiving the O’Harra Scholarship for four years has had a meaningful impact on both my educational journey and my perspective on helping others. This scholarship provided me with opportunities and support that made it possible for me to focus on earning my bachelor’s degree in elementary education while growing both academically and personally. Knowing that others believed in and invested in my future motivated me to work hard and appreciate the importance of generosity and support. It has made me more aware of how life changing opportunities and kindness can be for students who may need encouragement or assistance. As I continue my career in education, I hope to “pay it forward” by creating a supportive and positive environment for my students, helping them feel valued, capable, and encouraged to pursue their own goals just as others helped me pursue mine.
