🇺🇸 From Serving Our Country to Serving Our Community. A Full-Circle Moment Worth Celebrating! ❤️

We’re still reflecting on last week’s Veterans Stand Down, and one moment has left us especially proud!

Our very own Floodster and Director of Programs, Manuel Vieyra, was honored with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Congressman Vince Fong for his unwavering service, courage, and continued dedication to our country and community.

As a U.S. Army veteran who once experienced homelessness himself, Manny’s journey is a powerful reminder that our circumstances do not define our future.

Today, he helps lead the work of restoring dignity, extending compassion, and creating pathways toward hope for individuals facing many of the same challenges he once overcame.

This is what coming full circle looks like. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to CAPK for celebrating Manny and helping shine a light on the incredible impact of his continued service.

Manny, we are incredibly proud of you and grateful for the heart you bring to Flood Ministries every day!

🎙️ Stay tuned to our stories for Manny’s powerful podcast testimony and his feature on KGET Channel 17!

We are grateful for the opportunity to come together with a shared purpose and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have served.

Serving with purpose, compassion, and gratitude! ❤️

🌊 Adventure, connection, and a whole lot of fun on the water! 🚣‍♀️☀️

A huge thank you to Eagle Rafting for generously donating a rafting experience that gave individuals experiencing homelessness and those with limited resources the opportunity to step away from everyday challenges and simply enjoy an unforgettable day of adventure, laughter, and connection. 💙

Sometimes support looks like housing, resources, and services. Other times, it looks like creating moments where people can have fun, build memories, and experience something new. 🌊🙌

Thank you, Eagle Rafting, for making waves in our community and reminding us just how meaningful a day of joy can be!
