Congratulations to alumnus Gabriel Tomas on earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Central Philippine Adventist College! Over the past several years, Gabriel has dedicated himself to his studies in the Philippines, demonstrating perseverance, commitment, and a passion for serving others through healthcare.

We are incredibly proud of all that Gabriel has accomplished and excited to welcome him back to the United States later this summer. As he prepares for the next chapter of his journey, he will be studying for the NCLEX examination and pursuing opportunities to begin his nursing career. We have no doubt that his hard work, determination, and compassionate spirit will continue to open doors and make a positive impact on the lives of those he serves. Congratulations to BAA alumna **Krista Griffith** on earning her **Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD)** from Loma Linda University this past Sunday!

Class of 2026 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Congratulations Kaila Lopez!

Kaila holds a unique place in the BAA family as the only senior in her class who has attended continuously since kindergarten. Over the years, she has built countless memories and grown alongside her classmates, making BAA a true second home. Looking back, she fondly remembers the many elementary field trips that sparked excitement and adventure. As she moved into high school, tournaments, choir experiences, and the friendships she shared along the way became some of her most treasured memories. No matter the stage of her journey, the time spent with friends has been at the heart of what made her years at BAA so meaningful.

Several teachers have played an important role in shaping Kaila’s life. Mrs. Butler, her kindergarten teacher, helped introduce her to the world of learning and school life, laying the foundation for the years that followed. Pastor Gomez also made a lasting impact through religion classes that deepened her understanding of the Bible and strengthened her faith. His influence was especially meaningful as he guided her spiritual journey and had the privilege of baptizing her.

As she looks ahead to the future, Kaila plans to attend Bakersfield College to complete her general education requirements or continue her studies at Pacific Union College. With a caring heart and a desire to serve others, she hopes to become a registered nurse. BAA is proud of the dedicated, compassionate young woman she has become and excited to see all that she will accomplish in the years ahead.

Congratulations Jadon Hodet!

Jadon has been part of BAA since 8th grade and is now a proud four-year senior. During his time here, he was involved in many activities, with basketball tournaments standing out as some of his favorite memories—bringing both competition and meaningful connections with students from other schools.

Among the many teachers who have influenced him, Mrs. Sarai Ruff made the greatest impact, helping him adjust to a new environment in 8th grade and grow in his understanding of math.

After graduation, Jadon plans to stay local for a year, attending either BC or CSUB, before transferring to an SDA university. He intends to major in Business Administration with a minor in accounting, with the long-term goal of starting his own company focused on grants and entrepreneurship. BAA is proud of Jadon and excited to see all he will accomplish in the years ahead.

Congratulations Arianna Flores!

Arianna, affectionately known as Yanna, has been part of the BAA family since 4th grade. Over the years, she has made countless memories, making it impossible to choose just one favorite. Some of her most cherished moments were spent laughing with classmates in anatomy over the silliest things, creating friendships and memories that will stay with her for years to come.

Two teachers made a lasting impact on Yanna during her time at BAA. Ms. Somerville inspired her to think deeply, reflect on life, and truly use her mind in meaningful ways. Spiritually, Pastor Gomez helped strengthen her understanding of the Bible and encouraged her growth in her relationship with God.

Yanna plans to attend either PUC, Pacific Union College, or AUP, Adventist University of the Philippines, to pursue a four-year nursing degree, with hopes of one day becoming a nurse practitioner. Above all, she is trusting God’s direction for her future and is ready to follow wherever He leads. We are so proud of the compassionate, thoughtful young woman she has become and excited to see all that God has in store for her journey ahead.

Class of 2026 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Congratulations Jayden Gallo!

Jayden joined the BAA family in 8th grade and quickly became a valued part of the school community. When reflecting on his time here, some of his favorite memories revolve around simply spending time with friends and building relationships that will last long after graduation. One experience that stands out in particular is participating in the MBA Choir Tour, where he enjoyed connecting and interacting with students from other schools. Those opportunities to build friendships and share experiences made a lasting impression on him.

Among the many people who have influenced his journey, Pastor Gomez has had the greatest impact. Through his guidance, Jayden gained a deeper understanding of religion and Christ, learning to see faith from a different perspective and, more importantly, discovering practical ways to apply those lessons in his everyday life. This spiritual growth has been an important part of his high school experience and has helped shape the person he is becoming.

As he looks toward the future, Jayden plans to continue his education, either beginning at Bakersfield College to complete his general requirements or attending California State University, Bakersfield. His goal is to pursue a career as a nurse anesthetist, combining compassion, skill, and dedication in a profession that serves others. The BAA family is proud of all he has accomplished and excited to see where God leads him as he takes the next steps toward a bright and promising future.
