Class of 2026 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Congratulations Arianna Flores!

Arianna, affectionately known as Yanna, has been part of the BAA family since 4th grade. Over the years, she has made countless memories, making it impossible to choose just one favorite. Some of her most cherished moments were spent laughing with classmates in anatomy over the silliest things, creating friendships and memories that will stay with her for years to come.

Two teachers made a lasting impact on Yanna during her time at BAA. Ms. Somerville inspired her to think deeply, reflect on life, and truly use her mind in meaningful ways. Spiritually, Pastor Gomez helped strengthen her understanding of the Bible and encouraged her growth in her relationship with God.

Yanna plans to attend either PUC, Pacific Union College, or AUP, Adventist University of the Philippines, to pursue a four-year nursing degree, with hopes of one day becoming a nurse practitioner. Above all, she is trusting God’s direction for her future and is ready to follow wherever He leads. We are so proud of the compassionate, thoughtful young woman she has become and excited to see all that God has in store for her journey ahead.

Class of 2026 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Congratulations Jayden Gallo!

Jayden joined the BAA family in 8th grade and quickly became a valued part of the school community. When reflecting on his time here, some of his favorite memories revolve around simply spending time with friends and building relationships that will last long after graduation. One experience that stands out in particular is participating in the MBA Choir Tour, where he enjoyed connecting and interacting with students from other schools. Those opportunities to build friendships and share experiences made a lasting impression on him.

Among the many people who have influenced his journey, Pastor Gomez has had the greatest impact. Through his guidance, Jayden gained a deeper understanding of religion and Christ, learning to see faith from a different perspective and, more importantly, discovering practical ways to apply those lessons in his everyday life. This spiritual growth has been an important part of his high school experience and has helped shape the person he is becoming.

As he looks toward the future, Jayden plans to continue his education, either beginning at Bakersfield College to complete his general requirements or attending California State University, Bakersfield. His goal is to pursue a career as a nurse anesthetist, combining compassion, skill, and dedication in a profession that serves others. The BAA family is proud of all he has accomplished and excited to see where God leads him as he takes the next steps toward a bright and promising future.

Class of 2026 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Congratulations Delilah Silva!

Delilah’s journey at BAA has come full circle. She first attended from Kindergarten through third grade before leaving for a time and returning for her high school years. Throughout her time at BAA, she has created countless memories and lasting friendships. She laughs as she remembers being a freshman and feeling intimidated by the older students, only to discover that the BAA family was a welcoming and supportive community. Among her favorite memories is her senior trip, when her classmates surprised her by singing “Happy Birthday” at midnight—a moment of friendship and love she will always treasure.

One of the teachers who made the greatest impact on Delilah was Mr. Dulcich. She fondly remembers spending time in his classroom during her sophomore and junior years, talking about everything from future careers to thought-provoking debates. Those conversations encouraged her to think deeply, explore her interests, and consider the possibilities ahead.

Looking toward the future, Delilah is excited to pursue a career in the medical field. She plans to begin as an EMT or paramedic, gaining valuable experience while helping fund her education. Her ultimate dream is to become a surgeon, combining her passion for medicine with a desire to serve others. As she takes the next steps toward her goals, Delilah leaves BAA with a strong foundation, cherished memories, and a bright future ahead.

Class of 2026 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Congratulations Deilan Camero!

Deilan began his journey at BAA in 6th grade and has created many meaningful memories throughout his high school years. One experience that especially stood out to him was during a volleyball tournament when students spent time feeding the homeless. Meeting a man who had intentionally chosen homelessness gave Deilan a new perspective on life and encouraged him to think about people and circumstances in a deeper, more meaningful way. Moments like these helped shape not only his high school experience, but also his character and outlook on life.

One of the teachers who made the biggest impact on Deilan was Mr. Dulcich, who also served as his class sponsor. Through the many activities and experiences shared with the class, Mr. Dulcich built strong connections with his students and related well to them, especially since his own son was part of the class. Deilan appreciated the support, guidance, and understanding he received during his time at BAA.

After graduation, Deilan plans to join the Air Force while pursuing a college degree in Aviation. His goal is to build a strong foundation for his future while allowing the Air Force to help support his education. Whether he becomes a pilot or works as an airplane mechanic, he is excited for the opportunities ahead and is determined to use this next chapter as a stepping stone toward a successful future. BAA is proud of the thoughtful, hardworking young man he has become and looks forward to seeing all he will accomplish.

Class of 2026 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Congratulations Vanessa Garcia!

Vanessa’s journey at BAA began in 2nd and 3rd grade before returning again in 10th grade. Over the years, she has created many meaningful memories, but one of her favorites was when the entire elementary school would come together to play Sharks and Minnows. It was a simple but special time that reflected the close friendships and sense of community that make BAA feel like family.

Two teachers who made the greatest impact on Vanessa were Miss Miller and Mrs. Ruff. Through their compassion, encouragement, and strong spiritual guidance, they helped shape not only her education, but also the core values and principles she carries with her today. Their influence inspired her to care deeply for others and to live with kindness and purpose.

After graduating from BAA, Vanessa plans to attend BC for her general studies before continuing on to either Southern Adventist University, Pacific Union College, or Andrews University. She hopes to major in psychology with a focus on working with children. Her goal is to help those who are struggling and to be someone who listens, encourages, and makes a difference in the lives of others. We are proud of the caring young woman Vanessa has become and are excited to see the positive impact she will have in the future.

Class of 2026 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Congratulations Heidi Guidry!

Heidi has been part of the BAA family since 5th grade, and during her time here she has grown into a thoughtful, compassionate, and driven young woman. One of her favorite memories was the senior trip, a special time filled with laughter, friendships, and moments she will always cherish. Along the way, Ms. Somerville and Mrs. Ruff made the biggest impact on her life, encouraging her not only academically, but spiritually as well. Through their guidance, support, and Biblical examples, they challenged Heidi to always strive to do her best and helped shape the strong foundation she carries into her future.

After graduation, Heidi hopes to attend Pacific Union College if finances allow, though she is also considering staying local to continue her education. She plans to major in communication studies with a focus on speech pathology, with the goal of working in a school setting to help children who struggle with communication. We are proud of Heidi’s kind heart, determination, and desire to serve others, and we look forward to seeing the difference she will make in the lives of so many children in the years ahead.

Class of 2026 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Congratulations Josiah Dulcich!

Josiah has been part of the BAA family since second grade, and throughout the years he has created many special memories along the way. One of his favorite memories was enjoying brownies in 1st and 2nd grade with Ms. Miller — simple moments that helped make his elementary years so meaningful and fun.

Several teachers made a lasting impact on Josiah during his time at BAA. In 5th grade, Mrs. Newmyer encouraged him to push himself academically, and through her support and guidance, he finished the year with straight A’s. Mrs. Ruff also played an important role during his 7th and 8th grade years. The journaling in her Bible class touched his heart and helped inspire his decision to be baptized.

As Josiah looks toward the future, he hopes to attend Andrews University and major in Aviation, with the goal of one day becoming a commercial airline captain. We are proud of all he has accomplished and excited to see where God leads him in the years ahead.
