Proverbs 26 can be confusing. It seems to be two contradictory statements at surface level. However, if you look at how Proverbs is written and how in context of this book it is showing you two different ways to deal with a fool. Don’t go down to the fools level but at the same time don’t ignore it if it makes people believe in false teachings or doctrines. READ READ READ, PRAY PRAY PRAY.
