11 AM Sunday Worship

After a summer of Sacred Sundays, we are back to 2 worship services tomorrow at ALUCC. We will also be concluding our "Work in Progress," worship series, even with the workers outside the church continuing their diligent work.

At 9 a.m. we will get an early start to the day, and we will welcome back our Church Choir to bless us with their musical gifts. And then, at 11 a.m. we will slide into the day a little later, and we will hear from our very talented Musical Director, Scott Ewing. We really are blessed, my friends.

Today's service is on Vimeo to like and share! On our last Sacred Summer Sunday and Labor Day weekend, we celebrate together with Holy Communion. Pastor Mark's message is "The Church is a Work in Progress." We all know that the church has done amazing things over the centuries, but it has also been responsible for many mistakes as well. Like any human institution, the church is not perfect and here is always work to be done. What might that mean for us in Avon Lake?

Well, we have finally arrived at the last of our “Sacred Summer Sundays.” It has been a wonderful summer celebrating our many special occasions and reflecting on how each Sunday holds a sense of the sacred. I want to thank all of you for being a part of this time at ALUCC.

This Sunday, we will also continue our worship series on “Work in Progress.” Tomorrow’s focus is on “The Church is a Work in Progress.” We all know that the church has done amazing things over the centuries, but it has also been responsible for many mistakes as well. Like any human institution, the church is not perfect and here is always work to be done. What might that mean for us in Avon Lake?

We will share in communion this Sunday, and we will once again be blessed by the incredible worship music.

I look forward to sharing in worship with you tomorrow morning, as we come together for the last time his summer at our combined 10 a.m. service.

In today's Weekend Update, Pastor Mark writes about the change of seasons and we certainly can feel Fall coming - maybe not because of the weather as much as the changes at school and in sports and even restaurant menus!
