🐾 𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗦 🐾

In celebration of the 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁. 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝗶, the patron saint of animals and a beloved example of care for all of God’s creation, Queen of the Apostles and Sacred Heart of Jesus Parishes invites parishioners, friends — and their furry, feathered and four-legged companions — to our annual 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁. 𝟰! 🐕🐈🐇🐦

Fr. Thomas Petro will offer a special blessing and prayers through the intercession of St. Francis at:
🐾 𝟵 𝗮.𝗺. — 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮
Parking lot behind St. Mary's Church
🐾 𝟭𝟬 𝗮.𝗺. — 𝗗𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘁
Picnic grove at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church

Following the Dupont blessing, members of the 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 will host a light outdoor social.

🎁 And there’s a little something for our four-legged guests, too! Pet treats will be given to all pets at both blessings.

For the safety of all our guests — two-legged and four-legged alike — please be sure all pets are properly restrained.

Bring your beloved pets and join us as we give thanks to God for the joy, companionship and unconditional love they bring into our lives. ❤️🐾

The Queen of the Apostles Women’s Guild is getting ready for its annual Harvest Fest on Sunday, October 11 at 2 p.m. in Queen of the Apostles Parish Hall — and we’re looking for creative hostesses to help make this special afternoon a success!

🌻 Be a Harvest Fest Hostess!
Choose a fun theme, decorate your table, invite your guests, and provide dessert for your table. It’s a wonderful opportunity to gather friends and family for an afternoon of food, fellowship, and fall fun!

🎃 Tickets are just $10 per person and include lunch.

Best of all, proceeds from Harvest Fest support the Marian Award scholarships, presented to graduating seniors from our parish who are continuing their education. 🎓❤️

Some beautiful photos captured the people and ceremonies of our annual Blue Mass honoring local first responders on this 25th anniversary of 9-11. It truly was a special evening in Avoca. The victims and heroes of September 11, 2001 will remain forever in our hearts.

☘️ 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀! ☘️

Queen of the Apostles Parish at St. Mary’s Church extends a heartfelt 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗜𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁! More than 𝟭𝟮𝟱 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 came together and enjoyed a 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗱-𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 of fun, friendship, faith, and celebration of our parish’s Irish heritage. 💚

The evening began with a lively, warm, and celebratory performance by the talented company of the Joyce School of Irish Dance—a true showstopper that had everyone smiling!

Before the feasting began, Father Thomas Petro and several other priests led everyone in grace, offering a beautiful reminder that at the heart of every parish celebration is our faith and gratitude for one another. 🙏☘️

Then it was time to enjoy a delicious menu of traditional Irish fare prepared by 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗳 𝗘𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗯𝗶𝗻, while The Quietmen kept the celebration going with their wonderful blend of Irish favorites and contemporary hits. 🎶🇮🇪

Most of all, we are grateful to our parishioners, families, friends, volunteers, priests, businesses, and community members who helped make this evening such a tremendous success.
