“Our Blessed Hope” by Pastor Thomas Duggan (June 21st, 2026 Sunday Service)

As we celebrate Father's Day, Pastor Thomas Duggan reminds us of the hope found in scriptures. He points to the promises that God has for us and reminds us of the verses found in Titus 2:11-13.

He preached about the promises that God has for us, and showed us that the Holy Spirit works in our lives and that God is with us through every circumstance.

This Sunday Rev. Dr. Jimmy Hopper invites us to reflect up on a simple question “Are you like an Andrew?”. Andrew was one of Jesus’ first disciples. When he met Jesus he immediately went and found his brother Peter and brought him to Jesus.

Are you like Andrew? Do you bring others to God?

Join us this Flag Sunday not only as we celebrate our nations flag but also to learn about what it takes to be an Andrew.

This week was ask the question: Who has helped you with your relationship with God?

Many of us can point to someone whose encouragement, example, or invitation brought us closer to Christ. For some it may be a parent, a pastor or a grandparent.

This Sunday, we’ll reflect on the importance of faithful discipleship and the lasting impact one person can have in the life of another, and how God calls us to lead others to Christ.

Join us for worship at Langcliffe Presbyterian Church this Sunday, June 14th, to hear the message “ Be Like An Andrew” by Rev. Dr. Jimmy Hopper.

The Lack of Resources by Chris Breznay (The Feeding of the 5,000).

Too often do we doubt the Lord and His promise. We tend to focus on what we lack instead of God’s abundant provisions. Today we take time in the Gospel of John 6:1-17 to remember the story of the 2 fishes and five loafs and how you may not have it all but in God’s hands it’s enough. Put your faith in Jesus and he will lead your path.

Who is in control of your life? Too often do we worry. We worry about what we will eat, what we will do, what path we should take, and what decisions we should make. Yet God’s Word calls us to something different. God’s word calls us to put God in control and to allow him to take care of the things that are bothering us. Scripture tell us:

“Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Jesus reminds us:

“Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” (Matthew 6:26)

The sparrow does not spend its days worrying about where its next meal will come from because God provides. If He cares for the birds of the air, how much more will He care for His children?

Now this does not mean we will never face trials and tribulations. Scripture never promises a life free from hardship. But it does promise that we will never face those hardships alone.

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

Today, place your trust in the Lord. Allow him to take the driver seat in your life. The God we serve is faithful. He knows your needs, He sees your struggles, and He walks beside you through every season. Cast your worries upon Him and rest in His unfailing care.
