Who is in control of your life? Too often do we worry. We worry about what we will eat, what we will do, what path we should take, and what decisions we should make. Yet God’s Word calls us to something different. God’s word calls us to put God in control and to allow him to take care of the things that are bothering us. Scripture tell us:
“Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
Jesus reminds us:
“Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” (Matthew 6:26)
The sparrow does not spend its days worrying about where its next meal will come from because God provides. If He cares for the birds of the air, how much more will He care for His children?
Now this does not mean we will never face trials and tribulations. Scripture never promises a life free from hardship. But it does promise that we will never face those hardships alone.
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)
Today, place your trust in the Lord. Allow him to take the driver seat in your life. The God we serve is faithful. He knows your needs, He sees your struggles, and He walks beside you through every season. Cast your worries upon Him and rest in His unfailing care.
