What does Jesus say to the Father when you sin? He doesn’t just plead for mercy; He presents a case on your behalf, built on His payment at the cross.

“If anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous” (1 John 2:1 ESV).

Your sin is real. But so is your Advocate.

Forgiveness wipes our slate clean. But God's commands require more than that.
They call for love, delight, and perfect obedience. Yet, we fall short again and again.

That's why Jesus came. His blood paid our debt. His perfect life fulfilled all righteousness, and He credits that record to everyone who trusts Him.

Our Thursday Mom's Meetup is for women in all parts of their mom journey. Whether you're still in the exhaustion of late night newborn feedings/snuggles, dropping kiddos off at school or attending their weddings, this space is for you!⁠

Our hope is that this weekly gathering is a safe place for you to come as you are. A time to exhale as you connect with other moms behind and ahead of you.⁠

Today, the Supreme Court handed down their decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, effectively overturning the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling. As a result, state governments will be free to regulate and enforce their own abortion restrictions. For Texas, this likely means that performing an abortion will soon be a criminal and civil offense, except for when the mother's life is in danger.

We understand that there are strong feelings surrounding this decision. Now more than ever, we need to step forward to care for mothers and children in crisis—faithfully proclaiming God’s kindness and love through our words and through our deeds. And, as we share with others the truths that every life is precious to God and every person bears His image, let’s not forget that those truths also apply to those we may disagree with.

Let’s go humbly to our Father in prayer. Let's pray that He would do an amazing work of redemption in our midst, awaken hearts around the world to the value of unborn life, give women strength and courage in the midst of unplanned pregnancies, and inspire the church to faithfully provide care to these women and their children.

A shepherd and king. An anointed son and murderer. A man after God’s own heart. The story of David is one marked by glorious victories and crippling defeats. Through his dancing, weeping, rejoicing, fighting, praying, and sinning, we witness a life that’s emphatically human. David isn’t painted as an idyllic man. He’s portrayed in the fullness of his brokenness—tremendously flawed yet faithful. Through the story of David, we see that there’s nothing God can’t use to work His salvation and holiness into the lives of those who love Him. ⁠

Starting May 8, we’ll spend 11 weeks exploring themes from the life of David detailed in 1 and 2 Samuel and the Psalms. By walking through the Scriptures verse by verse and examining broader topics, we’ll get to see how God sovereignly brings about the lineage of Jesus from a broken man and how His covenantal commitment to David reinforces His steadfast faithfulness to us. ⁠
