The more I study Jesus, the more amazed I am by how He used His power.

Think about this…

Jesus had ALL the power in the universe. Yet He chose to become a servant.

Philippians 2:7 says He “emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant.”

The King of Kings didn’t show up demanding a throne. He humbled Himself, served others, and willingly went to the cross.

Let that sink in.

The One who deserved to be served came to SERVE. The One who had every right to demand our lives chose to GIVE His life for us.

And that’s what makes Jesus so radically different from Muhammad and other religious leaders.

Jesus didn’t establish His Kingdom through military conquest. He laid down His life to rescue sinners.

Here’s what challenges me…

If the Son of God was willing to humble Himself that much, what excuse do I have for holding on to my pride?

Following Jesus isn’t about gaining status or demanding our rights. It’s about learning to love, serve, and sacrifice like He did.

That’s the kind of life I want to live! 🙌

Want some relationship advice that could save you a LOT of frustration? 😅

Stop asking, “What am I getting out of this relationship?”

Start asking, “What am I bringing to it?”

I’ve been thinking about this simple principle from Philippians 2:3. Paul challenges us to put the needs of others ahead of our own.

Think about how that could change our relationships!

Our marriages. Our friendships. Our families. Even the people we work with!

So much of our frustration comes from focusing on what other people aren’t doing for US.

But what if we flipped that around?

Instead of keeping score, we started serving.
Instead of demanding our way, we started considering others.
Instead of waiting for someone else to change, we went first.

And imagine what happens when BOTH people start living this way!

Here’s the point: Healthy relationships aren’t built on selfishness. They’re built when we learn to genuinely put others first. ❤️

A brochure came to my house addressed to my kids. It’s called the “Texas Trans & LGBTQ+ Student Resource Guide,” and the message inside is simple but alarming: don’t go to your parents first.
I opened it on camera because I wanted you to see exactly what I saw. Inside, teens are pointed toward school staff and outside counselors for questions about gender identity and care — before they’re ever encouraged to talk to the people who know them best: their mom and dad.
As a parent, that’s troubling. As a pastor, it’s even more troubling.
To any teenager wrestling with questions about who you are — I want you to hear this from me directly: talk to your parents. Talk to your pastor. You are not alone, and you don’t need a pamphlet mailed to your house to tell you who to trust.
This is exactly why I show up and vote — because decisions like this don’t stay on paper, they show up in our mailboxes, our schools, and our kids’ lives.

🚨 King David repented. Joseph Smith excommunicated his critic. What’s the difference?

Two men confronted with sin. Two VERY different responses.

When Nathan confronted David, he humbled himself and repented. When Joseph Smith faced confrontation, he defended his authority and, in the incident we’re discussing, excommunicated his critic.

Here’s the point: Don’t follow a prophet who points to himself. Follow the Savior who died for you! ✝️
