What a powerful full-circle moment this week at the Hughes Unit in Gatesville, Texas.
A couple years ago, God connected us with David Rhodes during a crusade alongside Freedom In Jesus Ministries. Since that moment, the Lord has continued writing a story that only He could orchestrate. Today, David is leading Hope House in Nacogdoches, helping men rebuild their lives through Christ-centered discipleship and accountability.
This week, we were blessed to reunite not only with David, but also with Ricky Lowry — a graduate from the discipleship class that God’s Got A Word Ministries has been holding at the Hamilton Unit for the past year. Seeing these connections come back together inside prison walls is a reminder that the Gospel is still moving, still transforming, and still building men from the inside out. Ricky is also a resident at the Hope house.
Huge shoutout to Freedom In Jesus Ministries for continuing to go into the prisons faithfully, loving people that society often overlooks, and creating opportunities for lives to truly change through Jesus Christ. The fruit of this ministry is visible. Relationships are being restored. Hope is being planted. Men are finding purpose beyond their past.
This is bigger than a single crusade. This is Kingdom work.
On another note: Chauncey is not a drummer that I know of. Though we need a drummer for the I AM Beyond The Shore Prison Ministry Conference in August!
