Preparing for ceremony begins before we arrive at the altar.
It can begin in the days before, in the food we choose, the conversations we give our energy to, the amount of rest we allow ourselves, and the way we begin noticing what is already moving through us. Preparing the body and mind is a way of creating a little more space to listen.
Maybe that looks like eating simply, drinking plenty of water, spending less time with things that overstimulate you, getting outside, journaling, resting, or sitting quietly with your intention. It can also mean noticing the expectations you are carrying. The hope that something specific will happen. The fear of what might arise. The desire to understand everything before you have even entered the space.
You do not need to arrive perfectly calm, clear, or certain. Come as you are, while giving yourself the care and attention that help you arrive more present.
At The Hive, ceremony is held with intention, respect, preparation, and integration. The way we approach the days before is already part of the relationship we are building with the experience.
If you are preparing to sit with us, please follow the specific preparation guidance provided for your ceremony, and reach out if you have questions. 🐝
