A Beautiful Beginning

What a beautiful day it was as Thuy Le and Andrew Begue celebrated the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony at Our Lady last Saturday, with Father Scott Kopp, presiding.

Surrounded by family, friends, and God's blessings, they began their journey as husband and wife. We are delighted to share this beautiful wedding photograph (of the Le family) and to celebrate this joyful occasion with our parish family.

Please keep Thuy and Andrew in your prayers as they begin this new chapter together. May their marriage be filled with love, faith, and God's abundant grace.

Congratulations and best wishes!

Arriving at Our Lady this Monday morning, we found Kathy T. hard at work trimming the rosebushes and caring for the flowers that brighten our parish grounds.

We are so thankful for Kathy and the dedicated volunteers who help keep our church grounds looking beautiful throughout the season. These quiet acts of service often happen behind the scenes, but they make an impression on everyone who visits our parish.

Would you like to help? We're looking for additional volunteers to assist with weeding, pruning, watering, and general garden care. No expert gardening experience is required—just a willingness to lend a hand! Call the parish office if interested.

Please give a shout out to Kathy for her faithful stewardship and Monday-morning dedication.

GOSPEL ~ Matthew 9:36-10:8
The Mission of the Twelve
"The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons. Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give."

Jesus calls and sends His disciples. The Gospel tells how Jesus sees the crowds and feels compassion for them. He knows they need guidance and care. So, He sends His disciples to preach, heal, and help.

Jesus does not send them alone. He gives them the power to do His work. They do not need to rely on their own strength. They are called to trust in Him and share what they have received.

This mission is not just for the first disciples. It is for all Catholics. Everyone is called to share the good news. This does not always mean preaching. It can be small acts of kindness, prayer, or simply living a life that reflects Christ’s love.

Sometimes, people feel unworthy or unprepared to spread their faith. But Jesus does not choose perfect people. He chooses ordinary people and gives them the grace to serve.

Faith is meant to be shared; God’s love is not something to keep to oneself. It is meant to be given freely, just as it has been received. Jesus calls His people to be His hands and feet in the world.
