🤜🫏 Don't Beat the Donkey God Sent
One of the greatest tragedies I see is people becoming offended at the very people God sent to help them. 🙏
In Numbers 22, Balaam was heading toward danger. The Angel of the Lord stood in the path with a drawn sword, but Balaam was spiritually blind and could not see it. The donkey saw the danger and turned aside, sparing Balaam’s life. Yet instead of recognizing God’s mercy, Balaam struck the donkey. 🛑
How many people do the same thing today? 🤔
God sends a pastor to warn them, correct them, and guide them, but instead of receiving the help, they become offended and attack the messenger.
The flesh often fights what the Spirit is sending. ⚔️
“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God.”
— 1 Corinthians 2:14
Jesus experienced this as well. When He spoke spiritual truths that many could not understand, they became offended and walked away from Him.
“From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.”
— John 6:66
Throughout Scripture, God uses people to guide His people. 📖
“And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.”
— Jeremiah 3:15
👀 Pastors are not just preachers; they are watchmen who watch over souls. 🕊️
“For they watch for your souls, as they that must give account.”
— Hebrews 13:17
⁉️ The question is this: If you reject the help God sends, where will you go? If you attack the watchman, who will warn you? If you beat the donkey God is using to spare your life, what will stand between you and the danger you cannot yet see? ⚠️
Pride resists correction, but humility receives wisdom. 🙌
“He that heareth reproof getteth understanding.”
— Proverbs 15:32
And the reward for humility is honor. 👑
“Before honour is humility.”
— Proverbs 15:33
🧠 Before becoming offended at correction, ask the Holy Spirit, “Is this someone You have sent to help me?” The voice challenging you today may be the very voice God is using to protect your future and preserve your destiny. 🔥
🙏 Father God, we bless Your Holy Name! Revive the hearts that have turned away from You! Bring them back home with a greater passion for Your Word, Your Church, and Your Son, Jesus! ❤️
Let them quickly turn back to You and walk in the greatest plan You have for their lives. In Jesus’ name, amen! 🙌
