Yom HaShoah. We remember.

Yom HaShoah. We remember.

In Ezekiel (37:1–14): “God tells Ezekiel, ‘and say to them: You dry bones, hear the word of the Eternal… Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.’”

As we read in "L’chol Z’man V’eit: For Sacred Moments," "… You will cry… for the hanged and the beaten. For the shot, drowned, and burnt. For the tortured, tormented, and terrorized. For those abandoned by the rule of law. We will remember. With hope because hopelessness is the enemy of justice. With courage because peace requires bravery. With persistence because justice is a constant struggle. With faith because we shall overcome.”

We remember and honor the millions scapegoated, ostracized, tortured, and murdered by the N**i regime for one simple reason: their Jewishness.

Their lives and souls live on beyond their bodies. Their names and memories are alive in our lives and souls. They live on in our commitment to living proud Jewish lives, even when hope feels out of reach. Courage requires bravery, and we as Jewish people are strong, brave, and faithful as we honor their memories.
