Please join us for worship this Sunday, September 13th at 9 AM in the Chapel on 9 Church Street in Augusta. We are honored to have Rev. Ted Crass join us in worship this week. Rev. Crass is
President of the United Methodist Foundation of the Northeast, based in Derry, New Hampshire. The Foundation serves UMC congregations across the Conference as a partner in stewardship and financial ministry. Green Street has been supported by the
UMFNE in many ways through the years, not the least of which was the transition from our historic building. We are pleased that Rev. Crass accepted our invitation to be a guest preacher. One of the benefits of the Cooperative Parish is hearing the Word from
experienced elders such as Rev. Crass who bring us new perspectives. Let’s give him a warm Green Street welcome on Sunday!

Come this Sunday, September 13th at 2PM

Green Street United Methodist Church announces a new opportunity for people to stop by for casual conversation once a month, the Come as You Are Café. As electronic communication and AI increase, taking time for human connection is becoming more important. The Come as You Are Café will be open the second Sunday of each month from 2 to 4 PM at 9 Church St in Augusta, where the Green Street church currently shares space with the South Parish Congregational church.
The Café is a place where anyone is welcome, where conversation is encouraged, where people can get to know each other in a safe, respectful environment. Complimentary beverages and light refreshments will be available, but the goal is human connection, to reduce isolation and strengthen our community. Join us for worship this Sunday at 9AM, September 4th in the Chapel. Pastor Mauren will share the message "The Sheep and the Shepherd". Our scripture lesson will be from John, Chapter 10, verses 1-5 and 10-16. Our choir is back and will lead us in a congregational anthem!! And we will celebrate Holy Communion! Our scripture will be Psalm 17:1-7, 15. We will celebrate Holy Communion and we have special music from Julie Gilbert and Lynne Burney!!

Following worship we will have a time of fellowship in the Margery Grover room.
