HOMECOMING SUNDAY & GRANDPARENTS DAY on September 13th!
Please join us for the double celebration Sunday. Bring your grandparents, grand uncle and grand aunt to our worship.

After our worship service, we will enjoy a time of sharing of good food and fellowship. If you can help, please bring salad, fruit, dessert, or cookies. For any question, please contact Corinna in the church office.

Join us for our new Sermon Series in September “WALK THIS WAY:
Living Every Day with Jesus”

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in him.”

I am writing this pastoral note with a heavy heart for the people of Nepal and Tibet who are suffering from the devastating floods. Many lives have been lost, others are missing, entire villages have been overwhelmed by the floodwaters.
In moments like these, the suffering may be far from us geographically, but our faith reminds us that we are one human family. When one part of God's family suffers, we are called to surround them with compassion, love, and prayer.
Would you join me in surrounding our suffering neighbors with prayer—for those who have lost loved ones, for those who are still searching for the missing, for those who have lost their homes and livelihoods, and for all who are working tirelessly to rescue, shelter, and care for those in need?

Let us pray:
Our loving and compassionate God,
We pause and lift before you the people of Nepal and Tibet whose lives have been devastated by the floods.
We pray for those who have died and for the families who grieve their loss. We pray for those who are missing and for their loved ones who wait with anxious hearts. Protect those who have been displaced from their homes and provide shelter, food, clean water, and medical care for all who are in need.
Give strength and courage to rescue workers, medical personnel, relief organizations, community leaders, and neighbors who are reaching out to help.
O God, when the waters rise and life feels uncertain, remind your suffering children that they are not alone. Surround them with your presence. Hold them in your everlasting arms. Bring healing where there is pain, hope where there is despair, courage where there is fear, and light where there is darkness.
And move our hearts beyond sympathy to compassion, generosity, and prayer.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our peace, we pray. Amen.
